Yes, come to the Group I started! It's pretty active and the posts there have really helped me. I originally started it as a place to hold myself accountable. Happy to see the 2 of you still at this! Keep at it!

    Christane,

I also joined the "60 days and persevere" group. It is a good group with plenty of involvement. I think this group has lost its momentum except for us. Don't let it stop you. Join the other group, I think you will enjoy it more. If eating helps your stomach, then that is good. I can completely understand those meds upsetting an empty stomach. Just try to stick to healthy foods. I'm sure you will.

    Christane,

I think adding veggies would be ok. It may slow down the weight loss but it will probably still make you feel good and healthier. After all, this is why we are doing this. I had part of an avocado today and it was great. Keep on juicing.

Hi Rob. Avocado sounds yummy. I started having something to eat for supper - soup or something warm like cooked quinoa with a baked yam. It's cold here! Minus - 14 C. Brrr. Decided today to stop taking one of my medications because feeling so toxic and side effects just too much. I take a fistful of dangerous chemicals (like cancer drugs but lighter dose). Juicing has helped a lot although side effects of meds seem worse on an empty stomach. Also feeling disappointed with this community - not much involvement. How do feel about looking for a more responsive group?

    Christiane,

How are you feeling today? I think the not sleeping is definitely the juice giving you energy. That happened to me last time I juiced. I ended up only sleeping 4-5 hours a night. When you fall asleep are you sleeping better? Its a good idea cutting back on the juice after 6:00pm. I usually end up doing mine before 6:30pm. Are you anxious about something that may be causing the tightness? Stress can do weird things to you. I used to have panic attacks when I was younger and that was crazy. Felt like I was having a heart attack. I just needed to find a way to calm myself out of it. I hope the juice helps you with the meds. Is there a particular type of juice you are doing to help you with the arthritis? I think watermelon, lemon and tomato are supposed to be good for arthritis. Remain strong and keep us the juicing. I hope you a feel better.

Hi Rob. I posted on a Facebook thread my problem and someone said maybe cut back on the ginger. webMD stated ginger reduces blood pressure and can cause irregular heartbeat so I stopped using it. That helped and that tightness went away. My RA meds cause high blood pressure so I have to take the meds for that . Today is day 8 and I decided to add raw vegs just for supper to my diet. I was getting too spacey on just juices. Hard to drive in snow storms while spacey. Although it felt good to actually eat something, I can see that it has already changed my gut - I feel weirdly distended. Oh well, back to just juices I guess.

I agree I think we are the only two left here. No one else is posting in the group. Cooking for the family is going well. I am trying to cook every other day and in between let them eat the leftovers. This will help to keep me out of the kitchen. It's good that you are walking. Do you walk everyday? Do you have any juice bars near you?? I like to go to one near me for lunch. It gets me out of the home/office. How are you feeling? Has your energy level increased or decreased at all? Keep on juicing.

Hi Rob. Nope, no juice bar in this part of town but there is a natural health food store but the expense is out of my league - and no juice bar, only bottled juices. Energy is way up on Day 6 but I am having problems getting to sleep at night. This is new to me as I've never had problems falling asleep before. I figured maybe the juices are too high energy and stopped having any at all after 6 pm. Just tea or water with lemon. There's a bothersome tightness in my chest that has me stumped. Maybe I'm reacting to the meds I have to take for rheumatoid arthritis? Quite the drug cocktail every day of poisons. Mostly the reason I am doing this juice cleanse in the first place to eventually get off the meds. Joe's story inspired me to do this. Not hungry at all but that tightness worries me somewhat. My GP did all the bloodwork before I started and everything is fine. Cardiologist gave me the okay as there's nothing wrong with my heart either. Still, that tightness and mild feeling of anxiety is getting to me. Will keep going as long as I can. Stay juicy.

How is everyone doing? Day four has been great. I feel good. I hope tomorrow goes as well. I have quite a bit of energy. I am going to start weighing myself only once a week on Fridays. I think it will give me something to shoot for at the end of the week. I also think this will help keep my momentum going. Have a great evening everyone.

Hey Rob. That's wonderful. Nice to have all that energy, especially with so much work to do, huh? I've owned businesses in the past and remember the hours it takes. Good on you! Aren't you also cooking for the family? How's that going? I live alone but the yummy smells wafting in the hallways of my building at tempting. Went for a walk today and ended up walking past a McDonalds - ew. Smell of greasy foods was nauseating. Feeling a little smug. I think we might the only two left in this group? Happy juicing.

I like the Breville as well. It does produce quite a bit more juice. Right now I am using a fusion juicer because it is not as loud. No plans yet for Superbowl Sunday. I will most likely be home watching the game. I do not want to go out and end up eating things I shouldn't.
