    Hi Everyone

I have started my reboot today. Does anyone have any tips to alleviate the dreaded headaches? Or any tips that they think will help me on my journey?

Hi Jacqui: Keep very hydrated, and if you can, get some extra rest. Headaches usually subside after a few days. I found if I could take even a couple of breaks and shut my eyes even for a just a brief time, I felt much better. Glad you started. And good luck!! This group is pretty quiet. I haven't seen people post for a week or so. May I suggest a better group. It is very active and supportive. I love it. Search for the group March Reboot No food talk and it was started my katiejay. She is a great lady, and you should check out her profile. She is right now the featured member. She has lots a lot of weight and has a great story to tell. Plus her group is a great, but no talk of food we chew. Only food related to juicing. I hope to see you there.

Hey guys! As the group that helped me get through my first 21 day reboot, I wanted to let you know that I've just started a group with the title "A post a day keeps the juicing going, hurray!" Feel free to join. I'll be back to checking in with this group too - just, as the title for the other group indicates, I'll be posting everyday in that one, and didn't want to flood this wall.

Hi Juicers: Today was my weigh in and I am excited to say that I lost 6 pounds in this week.

Thank God!!! The scale was unfriendly last week, so this weight loss gives me more motivation to carry on. This Thursday is a big milestone for me, it is day 30 of my 60 day reboot!!! I hope your all doing the best you can. I have been posting on other groups, and hope to run into some of you at some point - with your updates!!!

Day 3 has come. So did the migraine, nausea, vomiting, and just overall feeling like crap. So needless to say, I ate. Gonna have to reconsider and try another plan of action...

try adding ginger to your juices it calms the stomach . its a natural anti nausea that is used for pregnant women and chemo patients. and try using hot lemon water in the morning it dilates the blood vessels and helps the blood circulation to help with the headaches. and make sure you drink your juice often enough like every 2 to 3 hours so you wont get hungry and think about food. . the cravings and hunger should subside about the 4th or 5th day your body is just cleaning house . hope you feel better soon. Juice on! keep us posted.. I hope I helped.

@JD: Why not try a partial reboot. 2 juices replace to meals, and your main meal have a healthy meal

@olivia: so how is your hubby doing? Sorry for all that going on in your life!! I did understand your confusing last sentence!!! how about that! *wink* I know because sometimes I feel the exact same way. BTW, for whatever reason.....this has been my hardest week. my god hard, everything I see, seems amazingly heavenly, and I am having to do a lot of will power, talking to myself. I am going to watch the show tonight, check in on Phil!!! I haven't watched for almost 2 weeks now. The only other motivation for me, is next week Thursday, is my day 30 of this 60 I am praying for at least another few pounds before that way in!!

Well hang in there. Enjoy your sunny weather in the south!!

thank you orange crush he is doing good and bad at the same time: cancer still in remission is good ,side effects from the testosterone bad. he has too much blood and the doctor ordered one pint of blood to be removed his blood was so thick it looked like chocolate syrup and he is in danger of having a stroke. this week has been challenging for me also. I keep thinking of all the different things I am looking forward to eating . im even planning menus of vegetarian meals I want to try so that's a plus for me. plus when I started this juice fast I had a freezer full of food and its all just sitting there waiting for me. good stuff like salmon and other stuff I don't want to mention because that would be mean. well im having to think of one juice at a time to get me back into a better mental state regarding this juice fast . my first three weeks went so smooth I didn't even ever have the headaches. I was just grumpy to the point I wanted a divorce for like 5 minutes. maybe its just our bodies telling us something or plateau is making a statement . I made a smoothie today I juiced carrots apple cucumber and except the kale then I put the juice in the blender with the kale and made it into a smoothie I did it because I think my stomach needs something to churn, I don't know im just thinking that maybe it will get me off this plateau. ill let you know . Juice on!

Day 2. No energy. Starving, my stomach wont shut up. What the hell was I thinking by starting this? Lol. Headache hasn't really come yet so I am good so far. Dumb idea going to the store alone but I stayed strong. Even dumber idea taking the nephew to get a burger for dinner but once again I stayed strong. I also made him eat in the garage. Lol. The idea of drinking another Mean Green makes me want to vomit. With the advice I have been given, I decided I am going to switch it up tomorrow and try a few other juices, hopefully I will be able to find some that I really like. I am hoping that by the end of my first week I will have a few different recipes I can stick with throughout my whole reboot.

I found the first three days to be the hardest. I'm on day 8 now and the cravings are less demanding. If you're hungry, try an extra juice. You're doing great! Stay strong.

I did have a good laugh of your post, I could imagine the poor nephew in the garage eating!!, but, hey, we all do what we have to do. I would suggest new juices, why not just try a simple, apple, celery, and add kale or spinach - also cucumber is really good to add. simple, they juice pretty easy and the taste is great. You can still ensure your getting your 80/20 ratio!!

    hang in there Jd

your doing great ! try using a different green altogether maybe swiss chard or romaine or beet tops or spinach then a small piece at a time introduce the kale . take it one day at a time or even one juice at a time . but find what works for you . the first 8 days all I did was carrot apple and a very little kale. then I started expanding my menu. good luck . and juice on!

@Olivia: Well yep, we hit a plateau at the same time. I was reading up on it, and other members seem to think it is your body trying to balance out this weight loss. And the next week should be a normal loss of 5 or so. I am keeping fingers crossed. It seems a lot of hard work, but I guess it does balance out. You are correct, watching that movie does give motivation. Matter of fact, I kept thinking of Phil yesterday, and saying, if it worked for him, it has to work for us too. And you know, he had to have days where the weight loss slowed, but the key is he stuck with it and we have too.

I understand the pressure you must be feeling. It is expensive, and it is so different what others are doing, so your hubby may not be acting as supportive, but if he sees weight loss, and sees your energy up, I am sure he will find it well worth it. Just stick with it ,and keep thinking of your July 4th plans!!!

BTW, something to just think about. I have noticed a lot of posters talk about cravings and that if you eat and juice, the cravings tend to stay and be more obvious. Whereas if you only juice, you don't suffer the cravings as much. I do only juice, and only fruit/veggies when I can't juice and those would be items I normally juice. I am wondering if I will stop those also. Not sure. What do you think?

I think keep doing whats working for you . weve made it this far I am also just juicing and an occasional mouth of food to taste the food im cooking for him although today we went to his doctor appointment and originally it was just to see the doctor and the lab results but the doctor ordered more test and a dose of chemo so we were there for about 6 hours ,I did have a juice and a coconut water but I went through that quick and I ended up eating half a taco ugh! I get so mad at myself for that after . I know if I just juice ill be fine .without cravings I did so well those first 3 weeks but this week has been one thing after another half a taco half a slice of pizza 2 salads I need to stop myself. I wonder if when I eat am I confusing my body and undoing what ive built up my body to burn fat in my body instead of what I eat. that last sentence sounds very confusing but I don't know how to explain what im thinking on that. just juice on ! ttfn hahahaha
