Still inspired...going for juicing with one meal per day. It's a slower pace but still hope to reach 1st goal by end of June. Started Jan. 10 and am down 20 lbs. today. It's starting to show in my clothes, yeah...thanks awesome group!

Thats what I did Nicky --- 565 days later, I had lost 150 pounds and have since maintained and sustained that loss with simple drinking lots of veggie juices everyday and eating plant-based meal per day with my family. Keep us posted.

    Hi Everyone,

I am back from my trip to Las Vegas. There were so many great places to visit and the weather was breathtaking. I left the snow behind me in Washington, D.C. Before leaving I committed to myself that I would remain focused on my journey of juicing and healthy eating. I am pleased to say, I did just that. Our hotel had two juice bars and I was a regular there. I also located the juice bar in Walgreens that Dan Miller suggested. My vacation and juice journey was great….I loss 2 lbs while away. I am certain it was from all of the walking and fresh juice for breakfast and lunch. I am convinced this new lifestyle is with me to stay.

Happy Juicing. BTW… I posted a picture of my husband and I at the awards gala.

Hello everyone! Its been awhile since I posted, mostly because I didnt want to hold myself accountable for the way I have been eating. My food addiction got the best of me and it is so hard to get the willpower. Its weird because I know juicing works. I am started a reboot tomorrow and will try again to gain some control. Happy juicing everyone

Brandy, I have missed you. As we both know there are so many great benefits of juicing and clean eating, we just have to commit to it. You have shared some great experiences with us and I look forward to you getting back on the juice train and continuing with your success.

    @ Dan,

Will def try the gravy you mentioned earlier. Thanx so much for that...btw, my Indian mummies have come to my rescue on several occasions now getting me spices, flours, etc. whenever I need ingredients I have never heard of before including the black - real colour pink - salt you mentioned before for egg type flavouring.

    Thanx again.

Maxene, so envious that you have Indian mummies for seasonings! I drive 125 miles to Rani Market for all my seasonings, fresh tumeric, pounds of inexpensive beans, legumes, nuts, brown basmati rice, whole wheat chapati flour, besan (chickpea flour), not to mention the fresh curry leaves, blend your own garam masala --- and the best vegan samosas within 500 miles! I make onion/mushroom gravy at least once a week and pour it on my homemade veggie loaf (like I used to do with beef meatloaf and fatty cream gravy). :)

Here are some great tips & techniques for transitioning to healthy foods after your reboot. No need to re-do reboot efforts. No drowning in minutiae or counting calories, no expensive supplements, surgeries or medications.....just simply eat and drink plants to maintain and sustain weight loss. Consider a modified reboot program to help fully transition to a plant-based eating lifestyle -- clean out your pantry and clean up your life.

Find substitutions for your old addictive food favs. Have you ever tried homemade non-dairy cheese sauce made from soy milk?....with a gluten-free quinoa elbow pasta -- it is even better than any traditional mac & cheese you ever had, and without the high fat, waistline increasing, throat clogging, sickness causing cow's milk and rennet (animal bile) laden dairy cheese. I make it all the time and fool my friends every time!

ITS NOT CHEATING IF YOU EAT PLANTS -- my favorite quote from Joe Cross,

"First, a Reboot is defined as a period of time where you commit to drinking and eating only fruits and vegetables. That’s right, I said eating! You just have to figure out what works best with your body and your lifestyle. It’s different for everyone. You may lose weight faster if you juice only, but it is perfectly fine to eat your fruits and veggies too! Do what works best for you."
