Hello Leslie! I am new to juicing (8 successful days so far) and am wondering if there are any soup...or warmish liquids we can have and are there recipes? I am frequently cold, especially after I drink my juice and need a little heat. Thanks

if you're doing a true juice fast we are commenting to only fruit and veggie juices. I'm a full believer in doing what you can to get through. I'm a ll or nothing type. I can "Fast" or not.. I eat and juice everyday of my life and periodically reboot. It's up to what you feel is best for your body. I think hit herbal teas are a great supplement for the need for warmth.

    Hey Everyone

So today is my 39th birthday!!! Whoo hoo!!! My goal was to be in the 160's and I am so close with an even 171!! Today I am celebrating because I deserve too. Thanks to healthy eating and juicing I feel great and to be honest I weigh what I did in high school and I am more fit than I was back then!! In the last three years I have been able to run 4 half and one full marathon!! I am happily married, my kids are doing great in school and are both physically fit (still trying to get them to eat more veggies though!!). Overall life is good and I have a lot to be thankful for!! Today I am spending the day with my mom and we are headed to the city to do some shopping. I plan on juicing but also having a wonderful lunch (healthy) with my mom! I am so blessed to have watched FSAND and to have my hubby buy my juicer for my birthday (early present). In no way am I trying to brag about all these things. I am truly thankful!! Have a wonderful day everyone!!

I just realized that this forum is backwards in my opinion. The latest posts are on the second page and the notifications don't work properly. Hopefully if I miss something I will catch it.

Yes it is backwards! I have read where they are working on fixing this as so many people have commented on it. Question for you.......How much water do you drink per day? As I mentioned I am having a hard time not eating when cooking for my family. This is always around 5pm each night. I am also having difficulty getting in 5 - 16oz juices per day. Today I measured out 72oz of water. I am hoping that with that much water and 5 x juice I may not be hungry tonight and can avoid the tasting during cooking! lol . Any suggestions are appreciated!! Thanks

Hi Leslie and everyone in the group!! My name is Carolyn, I am 38..(39 on Wednesday lol). I am happily married with two children, Joshua is 14 and Caitlyn is 11. I am new to the juicing world. I have been juicing on and off for a month now. I have really done my best over the last 6 days to juice only but I am finding it very difficult with cooking for my family. My husband and I have planned our first trip together........ alone......... in 16 years!! We are going to Costa Rica on January 20th. I plan on juicing tomorrow, having sushi on my birthday and then jumping right back into juicing again on Thursday. I will take the time to read past posts and I am sure I will have questions!! Love your saying Leslie. I read your success story and I must say you gave me motivation!! Thanks!!

You look amazing.. Getting ready for a bikini is stressful. You're going to have a great time and it sounds like it is past time. I find that when my husband and I are alone that all we do is talk about the kids and juicing.

Try to have fun and enjoy the food on your trip. You get yourself ready before hand juicing then don't have any worries. How often does this happen, huh?

    Happy Birthday!

Sorry my "Happy Hour" was detoured with kids tonight! Do you want to talk about something besides beets?

Not that I don't love the subject, but whats the strangest produce you have ever juiced?

We are only 2 weeks into this juicing thing so its all new.

Have you ventured into the nut milk, juice combining?

I've read a bit about it but not talked to anyone who has tried it. I experience episodes of psoriasis when under stress, and let me tell you the past year has been stressful. Colin's ex mother in law (he was a widower when I married him) had bad psoriasis and treated it with Cashews. Eating them, he thinks about a handful of raw cashews a day. I find this works for me as well, So I want to make some Cashew Milk and use that in addition to my juice routine plus I saw a wicked baked custard recipe that used a combination Macadamia Nut and Cashew Nut milks.

But the problem with wanting to do that is I need to get a blender that will handle the nuts, and they are priced from $NZ400 up, the Vitamix retails here for $NZ1300.

Do you use a blender and if so what did you look for and what made up your mind?
