El Pato is a hot tomato sauce you can usually find in the mexican food section of your grocery store. It has a picture of a duck on one side of the can. Piri Piri is a hot dried chili combination that's very spicy. You could also use dried chili peppers. Anyway, I like my food spicy hot, so that's what I use. It doesn't have to have the heat to it. Morning, Juice Buds! Saturday here, and Daylight Savings swap over tonight so we have been changing our hours backwards all week. 4am (old time) and I was already up and about! Had my morning juice already.

I waffled about on Thursday about whether I could juice or not, as I didn't get supplies in. (For newbies, my family is post-reboot and eating plant-based, and juicing, but I have been upping my juice lately from 2/day to 4/day to help my immune system, trying to flood with nutrients. And my husband is drinking 2/day.) Ended up juicing what I had prepared already -- 4lbs carrots, one celery bunch, one cuke, and the rind of a personal watermelon. I have not pressed the juice out of the pulp yet, and that will get us a bit more -- not much pulp. I already had enough juice thru Thursday and this will get us thru Sat at a reduced level. Sunday we'll juice again so someone needs to get to the store for the produce today or tomorrow morning.

Hang in there! It's worth it!

Be well and juice on! Soose

When I need more than juice I cook up some soup. I put in a carton of vege broth, some cauliflower and if you like it spicy add piri piri or 1/2 can of el pato Cook til cauliflower is soft, then blend it up and drink it up. It gets kind of thick from the cauliflower and is very satisfying.

Mizmo, never heard of piri piri or el pato. Peppers? Hot sauces?

I think I have shared about my onion soup/broth recently enough that I'm not going to repeat it here right now. Also, we keep a pot of veggie soup in the instant pot almost daily, and the broth is excellent for me during a juice-only fast. (Other times and during transition, I eat the veggies.) If anyone wants to know about either, please ask.

Hello, is there someone who’s starting Monday, March 11? My goal is to do 3-day increments with juicing all day and having a healthy meal at night. I know I can do this! I’m trying to make this a lifestyle so I’m not putting an end date. Please reply. I need one person I can check in with daily for the first 3 days.. I’ve stopped so many times because of the lack of personal. accountability & support. I need some help to make this last.

Hi ebele- I've started before that but there's a few in this group who are checking in daily that can be here for you. Keep asking though and maybe you'll encourage somebody else to start with you. If not I think the first part of my juicing fast is fresh enough that I can understand where and why you'll struggle. Good for you for taking great steps to improve your health! I was to the point where I was looking into surgery to lose weight. This is certainly less painful and severe and the results are just as fast! When it gets hard i remind myself of that. At the first part of my fast I had to remind myself of that over and over on occasion. Juice on!

thanks, mizmo. I plan to start March 11 regardless. I will be check-in daily at least once a day. I realize that it will not be easy so I'll be scoping here hourly for motivation.

Hi, Ebele. Sounds like a good plan. You can do this. Maybe there won't be someone starting on your particular choice of dates, but for me, I think it helps to have people who are a little ahead -- and way ahead -- to prove that it's possible to keep going on. And to make suggestions if there are questions.

Great comparison to the weight loss surgery.

    Be well and juice on!

Busy, busy. But I did get my juice pulp pressed this morning. Loads of extra juice! Tomorrow we will juice again. I have way more than enough to last thru tomorrow so actually am drinking more today. And sent an extra in with my husband this morning.

We are really liking the milk bottles. They're easy to clean, too. I'm still using some of the quart mason jars, too. Just what's convenient to grab. Sometimes two of us split a quart. The diff patterned lids (solid/plaid) for batches is helping us keep the juice straight very well, on days we have more than one batch in the fridge. It's very easy to remember what the last bottle lid looked like, lol. And no writing labels or anything difficult. It's working!

An angel showed up at my weight training class today and gushed over how many inches I've lost, so I'll be okay. I have to hang in there and look for the good instead of looking at the scale. Juice on!

So glad you got that confirmation of your weight progress today, Miz Mo. We have to trust our bodies to do the right thing with those numbers. Not get sucked in. Last reboot, last year, I just decided I was in it for the long haul. I will show you my graph of progress in case it helps -- as I reported occasionally here and saved the photos on my computer somewhere. Haven't looked since last Fall but let me see... . It might look bumpy if you look at any point, but overall the trend was DOWN. I did btw reach my goal.

You WILL get there! (And now I know I can go further in future.)

Hi everybody - Just starting day 25. I am on a plateau and it's so hard! Last time I did this I was down 18 lbs. This time 12 and the scale just stays in the same place! I'm not going to give up! I'm not cheating so it has to drop soon. I need to stay off the scale for a few days, but that's hard to resist. I want that reward of the scale showing me a pound down. I'm keeping a vision of what a pound of hamburger looks like and imagining what that is on my body and thinking "12 pounds is pretty good". Hang in there everybody

HI- My roommate and I started the 30 day guided reboot that we purchased about 3 years ago and never finished. We made it to like day 14, then life got in the way. Actually, I don't remember why we stopped. Anyway, we started on Sunday and Friday we go to full juicing. The "plan" is to go 40 days for Lent. SO glad I found a group!

Hi Sonia. You're post caught my eye as I am also embarking on a 30 day reboot today. I'm not a newbie, but your post has resonated with me and compelled me to join the discussion. Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm and honesty, both are extremely helpful. Happy juicing!
