    Hello to all. Each of us has accepted a challenge that I'm sure you will each strive hard to complete. Thanks, Sonia, for your outgoing personality and welcoming spirit!



    I have previously done a 13 day juicing followed by 1-2 juices daily for several months. It was, unquestionably, hard work some days, but the resulting weight loss, heightened energy level, improvements in health issues, etc., were strong motivators. I slowly regressed to old habits. Reality has hit, and it is now time to get back with the program in a more serious fashion. Have to find a cooler appropriate for keeping several juices cold for the day in a hot car. This was one area I found made for an easy slip. I'm open for suggestions.



    Each of you is here because you are motivated to make positive changes in yourself. Believe in your ability to succeed! Once again, Sonia, thank you.

    wow thank you SO much for your words of encouragement. I REALLY needed a reminder as to why I'm doing this. Day 2, little tough BUT I'm currently drinking my 3rd juice of the day and reading your comment makes it even easier. Hearing your experience helps a lot and gives me that extra push that I need so please, give us any little tips whenever you have time :) SO GLAD you can join us. We are a team now and as a team we will motivate eachother to we make sure we stay on track. So happy for the success you achieved in those 13 days because it's helped you realize that being healthy goes a long way and that it's better than the old habits that we all have. Thank you Karen for taking the time to write us that, I'm sure everyone of us appreciates it the way I do.

    Karen, you'll laugh but I live in MA and will often go to ME for day trips. I usually end up coming home with fresh seafood. I use the blue gel packs that the fish market packs the seafood in inside of my cooler and those things stay frozen forever! At the end of my work day they still have a chunk of ice in them. I don't know what they're called or if they're different from the ones you can buy in stores but they're awesome!

    QUICK UPDATE!! I'm on my 6th and last juice for the day. My mother made some yummy food early but I walked away and fought through temptation. Day 1 complete!



    All day I mainly did veggie juices (recipes posted below,scroll down) but for my 6th one I did Spinach,Green Apple and pear. Decided to add some yummy fruits along with the spinach and let me tell you... SOOO GOOD! (apples always help with taste so I suggest always adding an apple to your green juices)



    Tips/what I learned:



    1. If you get tired of the taste, pinch your nose when you swallow, it helps. (Try switching up recipes but always add veggies no matter what.



    2. Ginger helps you not get stomach aches or feel nauseous



    3. Have your juice right when you're getting hungry to prevent headaches. Don't wait too long!



    4. Be prepared to go to the bathroom a lot if you're drinking water in between juices.



    5. Write down the times you had your juices to keep track and so you can figure out how to fit 6 juices in a day. (4 wasn't enough to for me, kept getting hungry).



    6. Tea helps you not have cravings (caffeine free & add a lemon) id suggest leaving this for bed time. It will help you sleep early which prevents you from feelings tired the next day or getting headaches.



    7. Wake up early and have your juice for breakfast. Don't wait too late to have it or your schedule can get messed up and you'll feel more hungry throughout your day.



    8. 30 min walk atleast. Helped me stay awake!
