Good morning Happy Juicers! Today is the start of day 10! This mornings weigh in showed a total weight loss of 11.4 lbs! Yay! I was getting discouraged that the scale was not moving the last few days and today it has. I also got the chores I had slotted done in the garden there is a lot of water still on the ground so it is too soupy to dig. The tomato plants are yellowish and droopy, very unhappy and we should change weather now first we will go back to what is normal for this time of year for three days then we will go up to the low 90's I need to plant cucumbers now I have been growing them in 6 packs. Into the wet ground they go for today.

Good Morning today is day 9, juices are made still on a plateau, not running for the last several days due to weather, and house cleaning. Trying to get rid of things we won't be taking with us. I had gone through my clothes closet earlier in the year and am now working on books. All of the books in the house are on the pool table I haven't looked at them just piled them there. Will be out in the garden this morning, then will sort all of the books boxing up what is not going with us. I need to go shopping for juicing goodness tomorrow or the next day. I am trying to make different juices than normal so no repeaters for the week. I do make 2 of each juice when I do make them, the only one I plan to repeat regularly is Mean Green.

I will have to go through my closet once again before the move and reduce the size even more, there are definately things I won't need in the new climate

hi. i see a few talking about plateaus. Rhaya, who leads the diabetes reboot, said she thinks this is when the liver is cleaning itself of excess fat. your body might not lose weight, but your liver is getting healthier. we all need healthier livers. i think it helps to think this when the numbers on the scales remains the same. all the best!

Love hearing that as i am at a plateau so early on, however I feel smaller and my clothes feel good. I am taking herbal detox for various organs throughout this juicing experience and there are liver detox herbs that are taken in the evening so hopefully that is what is going on!

hi, all! hope all are well and juicing! someone from another group talked about Dr. Hedge so i looked him up. i almost didn't read this article cause i thought it would be in Hindu. nope. it's in English and it's really good. you may want to clear your pc's cookies after you read it though as it's full of ads.

    So - I'm back!

I've been on my pilgrimage in Spain for a little over 3 weeks, I walked over 300km, not a lot, but my plan was to walk only half a day and then relax, read and think over things the next half of a day. Loved it. It was really great, I had time to think, I love walking and being lost within my thoughts. I met a lot of people from all over the world and some of them I will always consider my family. It was a nice holiday. But I cought a bad cold at the end, so I was quite miserable the first week after I came back home, coughing and sneezing all the time. I'm okay now, I'm already at work for almost two weeks and I really feel like juicing! So I bought all the produce yesterday and I'm starting a juice fast tomorrow for 25 days. I would do 30, but I'm going for a long weekend in Italy on day 27 and I don't want to juice there. :) I have to catch up with what was written in the last posts, but for now - I'm glad to be back! Missed you all!

And here are some photos from my Way of St. James pilgrimage.

Yeah. I only did one section of it this year. The first time I went, a little over 10 years ago, I did the whole path, over 600 miles. Then I did around 300 miles 2 years ago and around 200 miles this year. I would like to do the whole path once again in one go, but that's 5-6 weeks of walking and I can't get so much holiday time at work. Well, at least my joints are really happy that I can't get so much holiday time at work, they were complaining a lot this year. :)

Today is Day 7. I made enough juice for today will make more when I get done here for tomorrow. Going to make a Cantaloupe Cocktail as 2 juices will have to decide what to make as well to go along with it. Maybe a beet/orange juice as I did get ingredients for that as well. Only down 0.2 lbs today after 2 stagnant days. I am sure changes are going on in my body and the weight loss will come eventually.

I went back to school to get my Bachelors and Master's degrees in my 50's, 34 years after getting my A.A. nursing degree. It was hard and I took a program where you took 1 class every 8 weeks, so you had just one thing to concentrate on. It was hard because I was working and had my property to take care of and meals to cook. But it was worth it to me even though I only worked a few more years after I graduated. It was good for my brain and mental outlook and I actually miss the classes and so took a nutrition course, and a few fun courses since then. Set your mind on A's and you will get A's. I set my mind on B's at first, and when I got them, I decided to switch it up and shoot for A's. I made the honor roll time after time each semester. Do not take too many classes at one time as it is overwhelming, I did that the first semester when each session lasted 15 weeks, and the class interactions took a lot of time so it made it harder to study with my busy life. As time went on the classes were shortened and more intense, which was easier still than taking 2-3 classes each semester. When I graduated, the classes were shortening again to 6-7 weeks depending on the course.

Start looking into practices to help relieve your stress, i was always stressed out too. I feel much better after reading a book called Quiet Life, Epic Life by Matthew Ferry. I wish I had read this a long time ago! It is available free online and also on Amazon on a kindle Quite Life Epic Life There is the link to the site.

Day 5 is done on to day 6 no weight loss this morning. I hate when it is slow like this! I like to see at least a 0.1 weight loss!

Yes less joint pain is a result of juicing and when it starts to creep back after a juice fast I am heading right back to really watching what I eat avoiding all processed food even vegan. I head for raw fruit and veg. occasional grains, and potatoes and beans.

When I wake up in the mornings I notice that there is less joint pain. Yay!

I never really thought I could curb my appetite by drinking water or juice. Now when I felt a twinge of hunger I drink 8-16oz of water.

I weighed myself on Day 2 of juicing and then again on Day 4 and was 2 lbs.

I am not sure if I am doing this 100% correctly but if I continue on it is better than stopping and going back to eating and starting all over again. “Consistency over time = results”

Today begins Day 5 so I am 1/4 way through my 20 day fast at then end of the day! Wow it is going by quickly! I am down 5.2 lbs from the start and will probably go more than the 20 day planned juice period as I hate to go off until I reach my goal. I will be making some juices when I get off of here. No side effects from the transition to juice just feeling tired, none of the lightheadedness, dizziness, or weakness that i have normally experience. Life is Good!
