Leslie, lol.i think poison , it seriously is poison with heavy levels of cholesterol for me. i might not be that obese ,or even thin, but overweight people can have morbid levels of cholesterol, it is our own body metabolism.i am not feeling deprived, of food, i am feeling deprived of good health actually, when i see people who can climb mountains, go rafting, eat as they please and remain slim, it is arghhhhhhhh, it is i have to remind myself how big my butt is , and how my jeans does not fit me, and i can also remind myself, in december 2017, how i felt, when the skirt elastic, fitted so well, perfectly, when i lost some weight then.i had lost considerable weight then.

i strongly agree goal oriented behaviour helps, , but i get disappointed, if i don't lose such amount of weight in such an such time., anyway i still have an whole year.

robin, thanks gal. soose contine juicing. though i don't like beets, it helps in increasing blood count .sunny rain hope you are doing well, which you would leader.

Good afternoon Happy Juicers! I am on day 3 of the Prolon plan. I got up no hunger this morning, did a few chores around the house then went out for my walk. I did not feel motivated to go at all today so I got on my phone and invited 10 people to a goal day challenge. Everyone wins if they make their goal, however it pushes you to make your goal at least whether it is 4,000 or 10,000 steps or more or even less it is a start. I figured at least I would make my goal (10,000 steps) I am right now at 14,000 steps yay for me. If I hadn't started a challenge or been asked to join one (I am in a week long challenge as well), I probably would not have made my goal today.

Good Morning, Happy Juicers! :) Loving the photos -- Spring has sprung in our part of the world!

We juiced yesterday and I have 11 servings from the first juicing and another 6 servings from pressing the pulp. Actually a lot for two to drink in only 3 days, as we're juicing again on Sunday. Sometimes we share excess with relatives or friends, so I'll suggest my husband take one or two to someone who will drink it. He has a coworker who is health conscious and his elderly dad will drink this carrot juice when we've offered. We shall see.

Snafu. I couldn't figure out where the beet greens were to add to the juice yesterday, and this morning I found the bowl of greens set aside with the beet greens down in the bowl -- where they were invisible to me. Been sitting out all night. Ah, well. The beets did go into the juice.

Hang in there, IamFit. I did not realize -- you are already on your trip?

Ugh! So hard on vacation! I always try my best but often cave for one thing or another, then I rally and get myself to make better choices. Once I make that effort I feel great about my choices and get back on track. Don't let your self feel deprived, think of something gross when you look at those poor choices. Decaying matter! Poop! Vomit! Whatever keeps you from temptation.

On the Prolon program day 2 down 2.8 lbs I think I may have had too much salty food the day prior to weigh in before the program started. Anyway California is in bloom I am once again in the garden so busy busy busy Had my grandson here for a couple of days as well.

Thank you SunnyRain and Soose! And imFIT, have you ever considered doing some volunteer work in the kindergarten class? I volunteered in all of my daughters classes through middle school and helped in the drama class in high school. I also watched the kids preform speeches, debate, and other oral activities that they competed with other schools and students across the U.S. It was so much fun. I can't recall what they called that event but I tell you the kids were great and it was a day of entertainment.Thank you Robin I just adore that little guy!

Good Morning, Happy Juicers! Checking in.

Juice status: We drank our last juices this morning. Today is juicing day -- this afternoon -- and it'll have to last til Sunday morning. That's always stretching it a bit. The last day has to be frozen and thawed to extend the life to 3.5 days. Or an alternative is to open Suja or do a mini juicing for Sunday morning.

My "plan/system" for storing the juice in the fridge is working well. (A clear plastic bin with "first day" and "second day" labeled. But as it's turned out, with using the 14oz milk bottles, and with the diff lid colors (red and red checkered) for batches being swapped off, we can tell what's the newest juice and are drinking all of one batch up anyway -- we really don't need a "system" for consumption of juices in order right now. I'm sure it'll come in handy later, though.

We all really like using the milk bottles. And it's not hard for my husband to take to work or me to take out on errands -- just put it in a padded lunch bag. No breakages or leakage, which was my main concern with using glass bottles for that. Really happy with them! :)

Sometimes I still use quart mason jars and two people split a jar for b'fast. I found a screw-on plastic jar top for quart jars at the Publix grocery store -- it has a flip top pourer on it. Going to try that out. Hoping it won't leak. It's not the one shown on amazon. It says "Ball" on it and is diff. Maybe I'll take a photo. I don't plan to use it to store in the fridge, but to use it for pouring, as quart jars sometimes leak when pouring. I could also use coconut oil on the lip of the outside of the mason jar but this should be easier and not waste coconut oil.

For freezing it has to be plastic, not ideal, so I'm still going to look into other means for freezing juice, and meanwhile, we're trying to minimize freezing.

hi IamFit. My autocorrect goes crazy with your name! im feeling your frustration. 39 days today with me. I'm also proud of days down but the weight loss is very disappointing. 17 lbs today. I keep thinking I'm going to wake up and see the scale drop drastically one morning. Hoping my body is in hibernation mode and frantically hanging onto weight and will give up any day now!. I'm feeling so much better in my jeans though so it's worth it. Just have to remind myself how bad I want this. My goal is 60 days. Have had to add a tbls olive oil to diet because skin and hair is getting dry. Juice On my friends.

Hi All! Just joined the group because I saw some familiar names and I’m planning on making juicing a major part of 2019!! I recently started juicing a few times a day over the past few weeks and have lost 16 lbs and counting. Weight loss and mental clarity are my goals.

All the best to everyone on their journey!

Here! Been missing a few days -- sorry! Just got busy. Good weather here lately. Lovely out!

    Juicing update:

I juiced carrots etc, but not until Monday afternoon (had planned Sunday). We don't have quite enough to last thru Thursday (next juicing window). I also have some of the clean veggies in bins ready to juice -- I did not juice all that was cleaned. But maybe 8lbs carrots, so it's not enough for our Thursday session (we need 15) so I'll have to send someone to Sprouts.

I went ahead and pressed the pulp in the fridge Monday afternoon, and mixed it with the juice from the centrifugal. (Which is why I have still some clean veggies not juiced. Ran out of steam.) Pulp can be pressed up to two days after juicing, I've found, but after that it goes manky. But with pressing, don't expect the pressed juice to last any longer than the original three day window, even if we have delayed pressing the pulp. Experience.

Soose! Here is an FYI for pancreas healing I heard one of the physician speakers recommend drinking large amounts of celery juice, he drank 32 oz a day while battling pancreatic cancer. That's a lot of celery!
