I'm on day 4 and I feel so much better than day 3! Day 6 I have a family dinner and I'm thinking if I just order a big salad with a bunch of veggies and fruit I shouldn't get too far off my juicing path. Any recommendations for a good meal to keep my body in juice mode?

Hello all. My name is Debra. I am on day 25 of 30. I started with the goal of 15 and felt great so have kept going. As I approach 30 I am thinking of extending to 45. I started a few days ahead of you guys but will still be juicing for awhile. I need to go for 60 really but it was too much to wrap my brain around at first so I decided to take small steps at first. I am feeling really good and in the juicing groove right now. I can realistically see doing this for at least another 20 days. If I hit a plateau and don't lose for awhile I might take a week off and then get back into it. My weight lose has slowed down but still losing so that keeps me motivated. I did just find out that I have to have shoulder surgery soon. Maybe a couple of weeks from now if insurance approves it in time. I asked that doc if I could continue juicing and he said sure. I was happy to hear that. he said that it was not a problem because I am getting plenty of nutrients and he was positive about it. I have gotten a lot of flack from people who see what I am doing and call me crazy so it was nice to have an educated person be supportive. Has anyone had surgery while juicing? How did it go?

I haven't had surgery while juicing but it blows my mind that people think you're crazy for juicing but eating McDonalds 3 or 4 times a day is no problem lol

I'm on day 4 today, yesterday was a struggle. I just wanted to eat something. I came so close to eating but I managed to get home, had a big glass of water and made juice. After drinking my juice I was satisfied. Today a thought crossed my mind that I still have 11 whole days to go. Seems like forever but I have promised myself to soldier on.

How do you guys deal with such moments?

Unathi- Honestly, the hot water with lemon and ginger or some herbal tea with a splash of coconut water for sweetness has saved me. Something about sipping on the hot liquid curbs my desire to eat. You can do this!!!

Hello Unathi. I'm on day 4 too. It was rough for me last nite, I wanted to eat also, so I drank 32oz of water and some more juice. Well, that didn't get it so I fixed a vegetable bouillion cube in hot water and the heat soothed me. I figure it was the same as vegetable juice only hot. Then I went to bed! We can do this.

I have 26 more days to go, so today I got out a dress that I love and can no longer wear and hung it on my door so that I can see it--LOL. This is my motivational piece for when I'm ready to cave in. Just take one day at a time and congratulate yourself for each day you make it through. Wake up that morning; pat yourself on the back and just focus on making it through the day ahead. Don't start counting how many days you have left, for I found that always seems too overwhelming. Hope this helps.

I'm on day 3 and I have the headache I've heard many complain about but I'm not letting it keep me down. I'm less hungry today than yesterday which is nice :) I'm off work today so maybe a nap will help the headache. Keep on going everyone!!! We can do this!!

MsAmy- I had the dreaded headache ALL NIGHT last night. I, too, am less hungry :). I have to say, the headache has been, by far, the worst part for me. I tried coconut water, extra hydration, rest.

Hi fellow fibromyte, You can do this. I think it is so great you are willing to give this a try. It really corks me to even mention to people I'm going to juice and they through wrenches at the idea. "Oh, I could never go without meat" or "How will you survive on just juice". I used to be just as ignorant so I just give them a pass. Hey, good luck, good going, and be the rockstar you really are!

Fearless... first of all- what a great screen name :) Second- I agree with you- I used to be just as ignorant and thought "HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?" I am so thrilled to have found so many like-minded ROCKSTARS in this group. :) Juice on...
