Day 4...lost 4lbs total! The lemon water was exactly what I needed, especially since I've been sooo cold lately the bad weather isn't helping either lol Trying to stay busy since I can't go for a run or the gym this weekend.

Encouraging note: I ran out of sugary snacks for my son yesterday so I gave him sliced carrots from my juicing stash and he wolfed them down like candy! He asked for more today, even preferring them over apples with peanut butter lol glad to know I won't have to go to the grocery store to buy him junk for school next week. I think I'll try giving him some cucumber slices sprinkled with lemon and salt tomorrow :-)

I've had days where I've had 5 juices coconut water, tea and still lost weight so if you are a runner you may need more. On my tap class days I have a 22 ounce blueberry, kale banana smoothie before and a juice waiting for after class so the main thing is to drink enough. The first time I went to class when I was new to juicing, I got light headed in the middle of class. Juice On!!

Thanks deevirgo for the tips! I'll definitely try the warm lemon water :-) I also went back to the FAQs page and found that I wasn't drinking enough juice. I've only been drinking about 3 servings, when I should be taking at least four and maybe more because of my activity level so I definitely will not hesitate to drink another juice.

Day 12 here. Still feel good and energetic. I'm sticking with watching movies because TV has too many pizza commercials and I do mentally crave pizza lol

At some point those foods won't bother you too much because you know they are all processed junk. Hang in there. I watched my 600lb life on TLC and I gotta say, thinking about burgers, fries and pizza .....Not so much anymore. These juices are transforming a middle age body that had accepted life as an over weight, prediabetic person but not anymore. No more dollar menu fake food for me.

Day 3...had a rough night again. The growls coming from my stomach kept me up for a while. But I fought off the temptation to get up for another drink. I literally prayed myself to sleep lol. Went for a 20 minute run this morning after drinking my preworkout juice recipe. I didn't feel dizzy or week, which was what I was worried about, so I guess I should be ok during my 1hour spin workout Monday! Just out of curiosity I jumped on the scale and I've lost a pound lol an unexpected reward ???? I'm a little concerned about my carb intake. It's nearly doubled from what I used to take in before the juicing, and I know I'm carb sensitive so I'm wondering if anyone else has had this concern and how this program worked for them. Any input would be great!

Fruit and vegetable carbs are not the same as bread, pasta, rice carbs. Do not go to bed hungry. I work until midnight and the weather is cold here so I have a jar of soup ready for my go to bed beverage. I made a squash carrot for today and the other day I did tomato. I heat them gently and fold in 1-2 handfuls of raw spinach or kale. It's all veges so no falling off the wagon if you do this. The other go to bed beverage can be a cup of hot water with lemon and ginger or decaf green tea but have something. Prayer is good too but for the instant relief I think the soup will work better. LOL

I'm on day 3 also and it's the hardest for me. I like the fact that you run as I'm training for a marathon right now. I haven't run the past few days because I've been sick, but need to do 14 miles this week. I'll drink extra juice for sure :-). I agree we get plenty of carbs with juice. Just need more on long run days. I love the idea to make a squash soup for cold evenings! Definitely going to try that sometime!

I've finished 11 days on juice-only reboot after doing the first five days of juice/food diet, but am now craving what seems like a lost skill: CHEWING! I don't feel hungry, but feel like I am missing out. Anyone else have this going on? I think I may start combining juicing with veg/fruit cooking like in week one so I can eat a salad instead of drinking it. Anyone have any suggestions? I didn't start out with a 30 or 60 day goal, but now that I've made it 16 days, I'm not sure if I'll continue with juice-only.

When I miss chewing I have a piece of guilt free fruit. In FSND PT. 2 Joe said he doesn't care if you eat the fruits or juice them so use that to help when the urge to chew gets the best of you.

Tried chewing gum without artificial sweeteners? They seem to be made for your situation ^-^ (Joe mentioned them also in one of his movies)

Start of Day two...had a bit of trouble sleeping last night. I think I drank my last juice of the day too late in the evening, but I was feeling the hunger pains so I gave in to one. But still better than reaching for the snacks! As I was trying to sleep, I actually felt a bit too energized and jittery, similar to when I take a sip of coffee or anything with caffeine (I'm very caffeine sensitive). I probably could have gotten up to finish some errands, but I knew I needed my rest because I have early mornings. I'm not sure if the rush came from the juice-it was a Monday Night Dinner recipe, and I didn't drink very much of it, just enough to ease the hunger because I didn't like it as much as I thought I would (I think I used too much kale). Either way, I think I'll cut myself off around 7pm tonight and see how that works. For now, I'll enjoy another dose of my delicious Mean Green and probably try a carrot and beet based juice for this afternoon :-)

Wow you broke it which one do you have? I bought an extra one on ebay then found one in a thrift store both never used. Which juicer does everybody like the best?

I had an old Jack Lalanne juicer. I bought a Breville today and wow what a difference!! Now I'm juicing it up like crazy :) The only thing I hate about juicing is how much of a mess I make lol I do love using the mason jars to juice a day in advance.
