Happy Wednesday, everyone! JUICE IT UP!

I have noticed that I prefer savory flavors at lunch and dinner. I save the sweet for breakfast and dessert. Anyone else feel this way? The one I have been making tastes almost exactly like V8 (I think- but it has been a while since I had V8). I put in about 6 kale leaves with stems, 2 celery stalks, 2 carrots, 3 radishes, a 1-2 inch slice of leek (depending on how you like it), either 1 regular size red, orange or yellow pepper or 2 mini peppers and enough tomato juice to add about another 6 oz to the mix. This makes enough for my lunch and dinner. Try it!!!!!!!!!!!

Day 22 here and down 18 pounds :) I got tired of making juice everyday so I took a day off and bought some good cold pressed juices from my local juice bar. There is more water than juice in the drinks, I can tell that now, but it was still a nice break from the juicer. Back to normal juicing tomorrow!

My fiancé and I started our 30 day juice cold on February 20th. Today is day 18, and so far he's lost 27lbs and I've lost 16 lbs. I'm looking forward to the next 12 days and considering going longer as my goal is to lose 45 lbs. We have gotten over the hurdles of cooking for kids and tempting leftovers, but we know we need to exercise, and we just can't figure out how to get started. Any suggestions?

I started with walking, but not just "boring in my neighborhood walking". I go to my favorite park with a partner EVERY weekday morning, as soon as the kids are on the bus. The scenery is magnificent and it feels like such a treat, since it isn't just walking down my street. Also, doing it first thing catches me at my most energetic. We keep walking until we hit 5k steps.

We started doing yoga as a family. I have never really done it before and we are all loving it! Some really good routines on youtube for free. It is great to de-stress and it feels nice to be stretching and strengthening this newly stronger body!

HEY GROUP! I know... Long time, no post... I had a 2 day set back about 12 days ago, so I am now only on day 12 of Juice Only. The weekends are super hard for me- the kids are all home and wanting yummy foods and snacks. Instead of making them dinner, I am making BREAKFAST, LUNCH and DINNER....and dessert :/ I feel like the weekends all I do is "white knuckle-it" and hold on for dear life, trying desperately not to give in to my every thought of food. I take baths, drink herbal tea, go outside and get some sun... and what I find most helpful is just getting away from the house- even if it is just to run the kids back and forth to parties or run errands. How do all of you cope when your cravings are triggered?

I have decided taking the temptations head on is good for me. Stare down that dessert, or snack and realize that I can walk away from it. I figure I am never going to able to be in control of what I eat when I am back to eating food unless I figure out how to let myself say no now and realize that it won't kill me to walk away =) So far, I have withstood all temptations =)

Sharing here what helped me so much today: Hemp Seeds! I ground some hemp and chia seeds together to make my own protein powder and threw 2 tablespoons in my morning juice. It was amazing! I zoomed right through to 12:30 today and still felt full! AND, the protein will, I am hoping, help with my dry skin and keep me healthy through the rest of my reboot. Day 18 is a breeze! Only 24 days left and I am down 16 pounds! Happy Juicing weekend everyone!

Day 18 here. Feeling good and just got finished juicing :) I'm so addicted to green apple, green pear, kale, spinach, parsley and celery juice. It's super sweet and filling!
