What is amazing is that my BP has gone from a recorded high of 213/111 to 91/53! That was pre-stroke BP now cut by over half! That is remarkable to me, and all just from a change in what I'm ingesting. I h ad three grandparents dead at my current age, one of them had three strokes. This is another reason I started this juicing reboot and not only am I seeing immediate important changes to my body, I have discovered ways that I can eat healthy and get the nutrients I need in a sustainable way. I look forward to adjusting my dient after the reboot to incorporate what I'm discovering here.

Just got off the phone with the doctor. I had been on high blood pressure pills which I take at night. However, since beginning the juicing two weeks ago, my BP, weight and glucose have been going down down down. Two nights ago I was 91/58! Then in the morning 110/53! So that night I decided not to take the BP pill, had visions of not waking up, just dying in my sleep! Not a bad way to go, but I'm not ready yet! So the doc confirmed I made the right choice. Since I feel fine, not light headed, not dizzy, feel normal - I can stop the BP medication and keep monitoring. If the BP goes to 140/90 and over, then I restart the pills. So that's nice! One big success there! Still have weight to lose, I've been even the last few days, still only just a bit under 10 lbs down. Ugh. So now I have to step things up and start exercising.

I breville last week on Craigslist and juiced 3 days and lost about 5 lbs. I didn't really follow the day plan but I really want to try a longer version. Just scared I'll quit. I have to cook for my family and i know that will be tough.

I love onion in fact my body craves it like know due to colder weather the inflammation due to arthritis and Fibro it calls for those onions & pepper. But my husband doesn't really care for raw onion only cooked but he said it wasn't to much. Jicama is suppose to take on the flavors of what you put with it. I have had it in salads but if there is nothing really strong the jicama is a bland test my husband says earthy.

I love them with ice, I can't imagine not having them that way. I don't think I'd like them as much (I'm the same with water, has to be iced always). I saw one of Joe Cross' videos, and read somewhere on the site a suggestion that if it is too much juicing and cleaning all the time, then do a bunch at a time. Juice batches on Sunday, then again on Wednesday. He said that it's good for 2-3 days. I put them in mason jars, making it easy to grab, shake and go.

Made the Mexican Fiesta 1/2 Jicama, 1/2 red pepper,1/2 cucumber, 1/4 red onion, 1 orange, 1 lime dash of cayenne pepper on top when done if you want. So good. After reboot I'm going to use this as a base for a soup adding black beans, vegan cheese daiya, guacamole, vegan sour cream. It will be awesomeness.

Wow, (I had to look up a Jicama), it's not too much with the onion in it? What a combination...

For breakfast I made The Cabbage Patch and I am not loving it. Darn. It's not even an R recipe. Bleh. Maybe another apple would have helped.

This morning I tried the Auntie Oxie juice. I sort of feel like it's cheating because there aren't many veggies in it (just celery and that almost doesn't count!). Holy cow. That drink is fabulous. I had to run the pulp through the juicer 3 or 4 times, but wow, was it worth it. It had 4 ribs of celery, 2 cups pomegranae seeds, 2 cups red grapes and 2 cups of blueberries.

Any drink that doesn't have an R is not a reboot juice. But some of them look good for after the reboot.

Oh no, so I cheated? It was in the app. :-/ I completely missed that directive. Thanks eurocatbaby.
