    Checking in, looks like we have all been busy with life! Changes at work but my health is my foundation.

    Really happy to have had 10 great days of juice only. Thoroughly enjoyed it and am looking forward to all things plant based. Can't do wheat, it really reeks havoc with inflammation for me. Very few white potatoes. Salad today, and homemade vegetable soup with cabbage. Sticking with the GBOMBS that Dr Furman encourages. Love the way a juice fast cleanses your palate and gets rid of the cravings.

    January 27...weight 256

    Last night, my 15 year old daughter said, "Why are you struggling with a juice fast? You know what works, Mom! Juice, smoothies and soup!"

    I soaked my black turtle beans overnight and had my smoothie this morning made of:

    1 jar of Beet Delight

    1 frozen banana

    1/2 cup blendable tofu (because I need to use it up)

    ~~~~~~~~~~
    I finished my second day successfully. I need to make sure I get through this eating season without too much of a disaster falling onto my head.
    Elkay - hang in there. We mess up, don't we....but we always get another chance to start a new day when the sun comes up.
    Thanks for your encouragement katiejay and tshirtartist, and thanks for welcoming me to the group. Had a couple of bad days with gastro symptoms but i think it was the juicing cleaning me out, all gone now. Feeling some momentum and feeling better, still finding it hard to give up my first morning coffee but getting there.
    I have my chickpeas soaking to cook in the morning to make Curried Lentil Soup and enough juice food tomorrow. I'll make more juice on Friday. Now that my cracked ankle is better, I 'll get back to doing cardio and core work with Richard Simmons tomorrow - and walk to work in our new snow. It's time for me to smarten up.
    Hi all, Just been looking at some of your posts, and the way this group does its juicing and eating seems to suit my lifestyle as I'm already a Plant based eater. Been trying to do juicing for last two day's and have ended up with major migraine so I need some encouragement at the moment to keep going, has any one else had this problem and if so what helped them.
    Hi elkay...yes a headache is really normal the first few days. Mine lasted about 3 days and then went away. I already was vegan and ate very clean but if you normally drink coffee or eat sugars can be pretty bad. it take a few days for all the bad stuff to work its way out. Hang in there by day 5 or 6 you are going to feel awesome I promise. ;)
    Welcome elkay :)
    I could never use caffeine due to severe heart palpitations, so I never got any of the headaches, but did suffer from other detox side effects. Just know that it will definitely pass...and you can do this.
    Hi all- starting back on 100% tomorrow Nov 3rd after my visit with my daughter in Cali and dinner with my boys tonight. Looking forward to getting back to it and your comments and inspiration. Fridge is stocked for success!
    My body, mind and spirit feel so much better when being fed what God planned. I'm being fairly faithful to the juice with additions of Cuban Black Bean Soup and fruit.
