I am so glad we have this forum. I had a set back and only fasted for 10. I felt like a failure because I wanted to do 21 days. I broke my foot in December and put off going to the doctor because I thought it would heal on its own. Well now I have to wear a boot for 6 weeksand if not healed, I have to have surgery . Seeming that I am limited in my mobility, I realized I have to get myself mentally prepared to reboot again. Oh please pray for me.

This month is turning out differently than expected. But, that's life isn't it! I ended up n the ER on my start date with a diagnosis of Siatica. I've heard people complain about it before but I did not know the pain could get so bad. I'm on meds for a few more days so I'm eating instead of juicing. I'm choosing anti-inflammatory foods. Lots of fresh fruits, steamed veges and wheat free grains. I'm doing my stretches but no walking laps yet. I'd love to hear how everyone else is doing :)

Hello :) I've had quite a weekend. I hurt my back and wasn't able to do my produce shopping. But that won't stop me. I am going to have my husband pick up a couple large bottles of organic SUJA at the local grocery store. It doesn't taste nearly as "alive" as my own but it will do in a pinch. I'll start on Tuesday the 8th. I have been weaning myself away from coffee and sugar. I'm still expecting headaches but I'll get through it. I try to remember that the better I take care of myself today, the better I will feel tomorrow! I hope you all are doing well. Juice on!

Well, here I am. Ready for my new journey in 2019. My official full time fasting date is the 7th. Although Insigned up a week earlier, I found that I needed to do more plant based eating before I could fully transition. I am scheduling a doctors appt with full blood panel work ups this week. I am ready for 2019. Thank you for this forum. 62 years old. I want to train for a marathon this year, but, I have a lot of work to do. Onward and upward. Dr. Karen

Hi Dr. Karen :) I just love your energy and positive spirit. Have a peaceful 1st day of reboot today. I'm curious what experience you have with juicing. I started drinking green smoothies about 8 yrs ago when Robyn Openshaw aka "Green Smoothie Girl" came to town. Then when Joe's "Fat Sick and Nearly Dead" film showed up on Netflix I did my first juice only reboot. The longest I've juiced was 2 weeks. January and February are quiet times of the year for my family. It is a good time to concentrate on my health. I'm happy to meet you and look forward to chatting with you!

My son is out of school until the 8th of January. He's in pre-k. I am weaning off coffee, sugar and really anything processed. I plan to juice only when he goes back to school. That way I don't have to cook as much and I want to have meals with him while he's home for breakfast and lunch.

    Happy successfully New Year :-)

I also like to start a reboot in 2019. When do you start? I allready did twice a reboot with juice an vegs and both time I had from day 2 - 4 a really big headach. So this time I would'nt right start rather do the first week preparation.

It would be nice when there are more people, who like to start in January.

Hi Dane. I am a coffee drinker so I know what you mean by headaches! My lingering head pain I have found to be withdrawal from processed sugar though. Also, my new beginnings feel different every time. Here's hoping you don't get bad headaches this time!

Happy New Year! In 2018 I ended up in trouble with my health. I have been putting off making healthy choices and I waited too long. Now I have health conditions that make me tired, exhausted really, and slow my metabolism. That and I'm in my 40's now. I need help staying motivated, distracted from eating and being supported.

Hi Gr8Greens, I am excited about this forum and starting this journe with you. Be encouraged. I am 62. I can’t wait to get this weight off. I recently took a trip back to the hometown I grew up in to really capture the voice within. It was fantastic. I needed the extra strength to move forward. I am so ready now. Let’s encourage one another. This is a great thing to embark upon. We can Finish Strong together. Have a great evening. Dr. Karen
