    Tue 03.03 Day 9 completed

I was hit by a few huge whiffs of OTJ (other than juice) from passing by a few open restaurants today ...I high tailed away from them.. being committed to juicing, I only get as far as the desire then it does soon pass.. look and smell but don't touch is my motto.

but unlike politicians, I cannot say I never inhaled

I am getting ready to start a reboot and I have heard the first few days can be rough, what are side effects or problems to expect?

Congrats, and you may feel headachy, and tired and dragged out a bit, but it is not bad enough to need to quit, and so happy juicing and think of the goal, or goals you have set for yourself, and the benefits far outweigh any healing crises you may feel, just drink loads of water, and coconut water, and morning lemon water and broths and teas, and keep coming back here, and voila!!!

caved to peanut butter on a rice cake.

Does anyone count calories on their juice fast?

Good for you, you may have needed this so do not beat yourself up!!! Joe has a great solution to counting calories in his book, so no I don't count them either...this is such great food and pat yourself on the back because of the choice of food when caving you ate!....Dust off and back at it eh!!!

    Mon 03.02 Day 8 complete

so I'm going to weigh after every 10 days instead of what I'd said before.. make it divisible by 60..

at the risk of later eating... my words ;) ...I must say I have no desire to be eating..

so, these next 3 days, it's time to o.d. on citrus (lemon mostly) to scrub out any congestion.. lemons are Mother Nature's way of scraping the barnacles off the hulls..

and a smoothie in the morning

Terry these are such rough days for you. It's so hard to lose our beloved pets. They become such a big part of our lives, and give us so much while asking so little in return. I'm glad your best friend has offered to travel to you and help support you thru this difficult time - I hope you accept the offer. I totally understand not wanting to deal with the mess of juicing right now. You might take a look if there is some place you can buy pre-made juice, preferably HPP, but if you're not drinking anything I wouldn't get too hung up on that though. Do your best to take care of yourself during these dark days. Min was a very lucky cat to have you!

Sorry to hear about Min, Terry. The most important thing is the incredible love u gave her while she was here, you were a wonderful father, she was a happy cat and that's waht matters. You need enough time to grieve, and if your body does not feel like juicing or anything, it's fine. It's coping with your current emotions and you'll be just fine, and no, u do not deserve the pain and the separation, it's just life, life... and it's same for all of us. Be back when you feel ready, take care.

Just watched Super Juice Me and it inspired me to make a Cabbage/Apple Smoothie (this can be juice only as well). Have to say...very tasty!

It's been a while since my last post. I am still on track and currently on day 43. I am down 40 lbs to date and feeling great! I am always freezing cold though. Brrrrr. Still discovering new clothes in my closet weekly. Always wearing something different now, I used to always stick to the same clothes every week. I wonder if anyone really paid attention to that. Now I have tons of variety. I haven't purchased anything new as there hasn't been a need but definitely can't wait until I reach my goal weight and do some shopping.

I'm kinda afraid of the transition period, but I will leave that worrying until I am closer to that day.

    Let's keep strong!

Congrats Angelc! 43 days is a BIG deal, and down 40 lbs is absolutely amazing! I never got over being cold while I was juicing and I got very tired of the desire to be under a stack of blankets all day. So far on my transition being cold hasn't been something I've experienced. I asked one of the coaches and was told that it has to do with the reduced caloric intake and our body trying to conserve energy.

Hi Angelc, I also get cold on a reboot. The other thing I get is foot cramps and I am not sure if that goes together - like low blood circulation. Exercise helps raise my body temperature. Does that help you too - at least temporarily?
