    03.05 Thu Day 11 complete

if I hadn't have been juicing yesterday.. I would have been pondering idly for an about an hour about what exactly to have for dinner.. and sort of plan my purposefully uneventful day around that in order to pepper it with an evening's entertainment and escape from the tasks at hand which to me sometimes look like brain surgery..

but no. I was wise to that. so I just watched those thoughts tippy toe by and then thought how they are becoming more vague in their familiarity. and, that even though I'm back to my old tricks avoiding a heap of work that needs to be done.. what I had accomplished was a determination to go the 60 days with ease.

and it's plain to see that you all have helped that along. Now I can tackle tasks without having to be swatting away the aforementioned thoughts..

I only wanted to just eat because I was becoming quite woozy from my lemon fast ..a large head of cauliflower kept popping into my head looking like an 8-course meal.. and we will know we're hungry when we crave raw vegetables..

so the juice plan for a few days now is not strictly lemon .. but lemon / carrots plus.. = 50/50 .. because I cannot afford to be so hungry that I slip up..

Just checking in on day 45 but weight plateaued at 20 lbs for the past 2 days. Went for a walk in the snow today and did some shoveling. Definitely felt the burn. Juice on even with the plateau, it will pass. Hope everyone is hanging in there.

I am on a plateau too! It's really discouraging...really hoping to break it soon before it breaks me. I am trying so hard and am only juicing.

I did a 20 day reboot in January and it was like the stars aligned, it was easy. This time it's been harder to get started and easier to slip. Too many Day 1s :(

I lost 13 pounds in January, and except for the couple pounds that you go up when you start eating again I haven't gained any back. But I am ready to lose the next 10, and then the next 10, etc... I have 5 sizes of clothes in my closet and am working my way back down.

I started to look around my life and realize that I haven't done anything for the last three years except eat, drink and feel sorry for myself. My garden is in shambles, my spare room is an embarrassing mess, I haven't kept up correspondence, my marriage is stressed... It started with job stress, financial stress, then hubby had prostate cancer... The hormone treatments almost destroyed our marriage. In the middle of all of that I spent months studying for my Engineering Board Exams. I had to be strong for hubby but realize now that while I was present and strong physically I was letting myself be crushed emotionally. I was swallowing my emotions with every bite and every drink; cramming them down my throat every time I had to bite my tongue. But now it's my turn to point myself in the right direction again!

So now you all know a bit about me, thanks for reading :)

Glad to have you!!!! I know it can be tough to get going again after succesfully completing a reboot, I am in the same boat. Just try to be kind and patient with yourself, every journey is different.

love that, Red.. "the stars aligned." nice ta meetcha :) when I read your writing, what mostly stuck out to me was what an admirable job you are doing and have done with the circumstances..

would be nice if hubby can join you a bit juicing..

and hey btw like you, I'm also very economical .. I have a multi-sized collection of clothing just in case my optimism is correct.

    Thank you Sue and Eric.

Hubby won't juice, but eats pretty well and supports me 100%. We have always eaten well, it's the portion size and the wine that did me in, lol.

    Wed 03.04 Day 10 Completed

Weigh-in Day -- 4Lb lost.. which I don't think is too bad considering I did almost zero exercise.. I don't care; I stuck to the juice & the water and didn't suffer a bit

so using that equation, if I end up losing 25Lb in 60 days but still not reach my goal, I will be very very Very happy.. time will tell

yesterday I was dealing with anxiety and coping.. but unlike some people, stress shuts down my desire to eat.. its redeeming quality. I got thru it for now.. ya know, juicing doesn't seem to benefit my ability to cope with the world, until I really get into it ...say, after at least 30 days.. only then do I notice glimpses of change for the better when it comes to the "F" word ...(fear)

and it's worth going the 60 days just to find out if it will turn me into an Alfred E. Newman

    ... yeah, that's the guy!

Great job Sue! That dang "F" word... some people never live their lives because of it. And even when they do get over the fear, the regret about the lost time does them in.

I saw a great quote recently, maybe on this site, "It's never too late to be what you might have been".

I'm a few days behind you, had a few blips, but chugging along now (no pun intended).
