Preparing to begin my first reboot tomorrow. I am aiming for 15 days, but any length of time will be a victory.

    Sunny Sunday quotestion:

"If you're not grateful about what you have now, what makes you think you will appreciate the things that you don't yet have?"

-- from a modern day insightful guy in the UK who likes to occasionally point out obvious stuff that people aren't looking at

    Sat 03.07 Day 13 complete

I was bad today. no, I didn't partake.. but I didn't juice at all.. just water fasted .. not on purpose.. I was lazy and wanted to do go out and do something else.. the day was fine but I ended up with hunger in the evening.. constantly pushing it away.. so I figured.. I'll save some money and have yesterday's carrots..today... no harm done.

Day 4. Juice, mop floor, pull weeds, nap, pull weeds, get massage, shop for juice supplies, sleep, repeat.

The massage is great to help release toxins. There is a shop in my town that offers a one hour foot and body massage for almost nothing. I promised myself, in the beginning, that I could have a massage for every ten pounds I lose, woo-hoo! I'm down 14 total, so another massage in 6 more :)

that's what I used to do when I started, Red, but it was for every 10 days I juiced .. since pounds were fickle :) now you can add a mani pedi to the day before the massage! releasing toxins is just the side benefit

    good day!

today's quote from B.C. (not the comic caveman.. the era):

"A crust eaten in peace is better than a banquet partaken in anxiety."

also... Juicing during worry is better than pigging out during peace..

    Fri 03.06 Day 12 complete

even though I had some finely chopped cauliflower with 2 avocados.. this is still a completed day.. complete with the usual (carrot lemon smoothie etc) it was an infrequent exception to the rule.. as reminder for the record, I am going 60 days with the juice only plus smoothie

the juicing is now like water off a duck, and although I wish I could say that for survival... juicing and its ritual lay a foundation to be able to keep the faith

Good day everyone! I had to put everything on hold for a moment as I was reading through my new employers handbook and noticed that they actually do not allow for employees to be on a fast/cleanse during working hours because they worry about mental clarity and the possibility of getting sick. I at first got really upset by the idea that it wasn't allowed but I have reached out for clarity as I don't see this as a true fast or cleanse, seeing as you are still getting 1500-2000 calories a day, and for me I exercised quite intensely on my first reboot and after the first few days I actually felt like I thought with a clearer mind!!! So, waiting on the ok from the powers that be. OHHHH, to have a boss again, takes some getting used to.

P.S. this time tomorrow morning, I will be in the air to Denver!!!!!! Excited and Anxious!!

well Eric, you will be off the fast by the time you go to Tulsa.. that's really invasive and crossing the line.. so Corporate.. hope you find loopholes

I know Suesblues, I actually got really upset and considered telling them to forget it because I couldn't believe a company, in particular a natural foods company would tell a person what they could do with their own body but in the end, if that is the only thing I found issue with then I have to be smart and think about my family. I am hoping the actual culture of the company and the leeway hopefully I am given to run my own store will be sufficient to counteract what I found in the handbook.

sounds illegal to me.. although maybe somehow they are legally protecting themselves.. I dunno Eric..

but I would have handled it exactly the same way.. get really mad at first then calm down and plan how to roll with the punches and use what you can totally to your advantage.. at least you are prepared for possibly more Corporate crap to come.. so you're not surprised next time ...comes with the territory.. good for you for using them to learn all you can!!

On day 35, with 9 pounds lost. Would like to lose quicker, however I am in my mid forties and have hypothyroidism. So I guess God is again trying to teach me patience. Juice on!

Had a lovely Day 3 today with the day off work. Spent the morning shopping the discount veggie rack at the grocery. Got two dozen Roma tomatoes for $2, cucumbers for $0.25 each and carrots for $0.50/pound. Then gardened in the beautiful California sunshine, took the dog for a nice walk around the neighborhood and made a warm veggie broth for dinner. Now time to sleep, wake and repeat for the rest of the weekend. Juice on!
