Wed 03.18 Day 24 complete.. I was a good girl

lost a bit of faith yesterday while out & about ... it's just that stupid worry seeped in about ...well, I'll just say, "stuff"...and even though some good things happened and unexpectedly I might add ...I wasn't appreciating them the way I usually do which peppered that mood... and then I spent an absurd $9 on a 16oz spinach carrot juice (at the rich people's juice bar) to keep my desires for no-no's away.. and I really longed for escapism.. so when I got home, I ate not juiced.. pineapple and avocado... and watched inspirational videos to gear up for tackling today.. onward

2 things y'all: not seeing the big picture, then at the same time, not keeping up with everything there is to do.. the old 1 step forward two steps backward ...can be crazy making..

I aim to be cheerful and thankful... sorry to be depressing but I know I'm not alone in this.. so perhaps a sprinkling of the forlorn can be shared, then discarded before we turn it around. for those who understand, this is for you..

really, there is one relatively simple first step we can do to rise above that sort of thing.. at the very least keep from drowning.. and guess what that is? funny you should ask..it's..

    juicing!

    Tue 03.17 St. Paddy's Day 23 complete

walking down Main yesterday, the bars were green and hoppin' ... I was so very glad I wasn't one of them...but that I am me...the lone juicer. I never liked going to bars anyway.. and I 'm not putting down the youngsters who were enjoying drinking and laughing..

....I just appreciated the contrast and it felt good for partying to easily not be my choice

You had a green St. Paddy's Day, it was just green juice instead of green beer, lol!

thank you roses :) yes, I find that I have to go about my day sort of on an egg timer... when starting the reboot I have to be very strict with a routine by the hour.. so that later on it becomes rote.. if I don't wake up before the sun, the schedule gets screwy... and the best thing to do is to write or type a to-do list... and make each day the same so you don't have an excuse not to spend an hour in the kitchen making juice and cleaning... you know, stuff like that whatever works tailored to you.

I was inspecting a bridge today, harnessed into a small lift under the bridge, 200 feet above a lake. And the engineer that I was with, whom I had just met, was talking about how his wife wanted him to juice! What a small world. I told him it would change his life!

I am usually stuck at my desk. I am a civil engineer who develops and manages capitol improvement projects for a small public agency. Yesterday was a treat to ride along on the inspection :)

Checking in. Day 58 of 60 here. Has been a great and my wife has been a great support! I am so motivated to continue! I had the opportunity of meeting Joe Cross at the Houston BN event. Time to start looking at the transition plan.

    Mon 03.16 Day 22 complete

well I didn't go out yesterday but put in 10 straight hours of work instead to free up my week.. it caused some claustrophobia.. which instigated more motivation to get out and move..

I think of the next 30 days as the 2nd phase of this juiceathon.. at least it ought to be interesting ...interesting is fine for some but I'm going for some fulfillment

Long weekend of hard yard work, cleaning, cutting brush, gardening. Weather was in the high 70s. We've been walking in the evenings; I'll have to measure how long the loop is, not strenuous but very pleasant. Juicing is going well, a couple of avocados and some almonds were my only cheats.

avocados and almonds can be exceptions, red!

Anything is better than the whole bottle of wine I was drinking every evening to "cope" with my depression! I just try to keep perspective...
