Hi all, I'd like to join in, too. I am on day three and planning on 4 weeks. My son is graduating from high school May 27th and I was hoping to shed some more weight before the big day. I have been doing the McDougall program for a while and the weight loss is good, but very slow. I thought this would give me a good boost, plus I got my wife to join me this time!!!

Hi, hope you don't mind if i join. This sounds like a fun group....and one I can relate to. I have 3 large tubs full of clothes that miss me, and I miss them. I'm in yoga pants....but no yoga. lol This is day 2 of a 30+ juice fast. Day one was easy...day 2...nice headache!!! Time for another juice.

Hi Holly - it's lovely to have you join in this little adventure.

Hi Hollyz, the headaches will go away after a few days. Make sure you're drinking enough juice per day, 5 - 6 full pint glasses (half liter). It's not 'officially' part of a Reboot, but when I'm desperate the first few days I often just take an Excedrin to help me get through work.

    April 26...Day-5 (-2)

My skirt for work is becoming more comfortable, so that's a huge bonus. It's nice to have the energy and motivation to get some much-needed housework and yard work done.

Hi, I hope you don't mind me joining your group! Reading your posts I can totally relate to wearing the same clothes to work and having a wardrobe full of beautiful clothes that don't fit! I am starting tomorrow so will be great to have some support, I've managed 7 days twice before but would really like to do a minimum of 10 days! Feeling quite nervous but also tired of feeling sick and tired all the time. I hope I can get through the first 2 days which are the hardest. Wish me luck! :-)

Welcome, Springboks. I'm definitely sending you some good luck vibes. Make a chart for the 10 days and give yourself a big shiny sticker at the end of a successful day. It helps.

Go for it, Springboks! I tried a 10-day, and realized that if I could do 10 days then 30 would be a breeze, and it was! Once you get the system right, it becomes easy and fun.

    April 25...Day-4...(-3)

Everything is going just fine. I have a slightly woozy head this morning, but my morning juice should take care of that.

It's nice to be juicing with my head screwed on right. It doesn't work as well when it's not.

    April 23...Day-2...(-3)

I know I'm just beginning my second day, but it feels mighty good to be in the right frame of mind to get the job done.

I want to juice for the health of it with you Kate. I'm struggling. I remember when you and I said..."we are the 2%" that will keep it off. i have gained 15 lbs. Not much you may think but in my tiny frame its at least one clothing size and my clothes don't fit. i have bought new t shirts and have almost nothing to wear!

I feel ashamed too but heres some truth for us from Gods Word

" Ps 25 ;3 'No one who hopes in the Lord can ever be put to shame"

Well thats us isn't it? No shame!!!! No more!!!!

To have our clothes get tighter to the point of having to buy new clothes is fairly devastating. I flatly refuse to buy bigger clothes, so I wear the same skirt and shirt to work and slip into my pjs when I get home. We'll both get into our regular comfortable clothes before too long. I'm glad you're here with me. We will be the 2%.

    Amen to "no shame".

Hey Janegray, in all I've struggled to change in my life, including and especially weight, God's continually led me back to the reality that I have to be willing to change how I relate to the thing that's messing me up. And it always boils down to this: I can't have both things I want.

I can't go out with friends every weekend, and pay off my credit debt. I can't sit around home every weekend and watch TV, and be in good shape. And I can't eat whatever I want, and be the weight I want to be and wear the clothes that make me feel good. Etc. Ask Him for the strength to embrace this reality and the guidance to help you make the right decisions based on it.

Kate - I'm exactly where you are with clothes. My friends are sick of the same stuff I wear all the time, and I'm starting to think they're worried I'm obsessed or something at work. But I have a closet full of nice, new clothes that I 'grew out of' years ago, and I simply refuse to go out shopping for clothes because I let myself get so fat. Clothes shopping is supposed to be a fun thing, and I'm not going to go do it in defeat and shame. We're going to beat this!
