Why wait 15 days to add protein and fat?

Hi, just out of interest why is it recommended to wait 15 days before adding vegetable based protein and fat to our juice?

I understand before this time we have enough in our system until we reach the 15th day of juice only. But why is it not recommended to add them from day 1? Does it interfere in some way?

    Dear WJS,

This is to allow the body to have a complete cleanse within a short time frame. Having only 100% fruit and vegetables for the period of 15 days allows a complete reboot and a break from the oil and the legume protein additions.

The advise to add it into day 15 has become a reboot guideline that was recommended by our very own medical advisory board. This addition was to prevent any protein and essential fatty acid deficiencies occurring when people where committing to longer reboot, ie more then 15 days.
Please let me know if you have any further questions

Thank you so much Claire. That is very clear and makes a lot of sense!
