Weight loss Plateau

Ask the Nutritionist

Posted by Ogechi on 5 years ago I am on day 17 of my juice fast, intend to do it for 40 days, The problem I have is with the amount of weight I am loosing, first 5 days I lost 6 pounds then nothing for 3 days after that I lost 3 pounds then nothing and then 2 pound. It's been 5 days and I haven't dropped a pound, I don't weigh myself daily so the last time I weighed myself before this morning was 5 days ago. I went from 223 to 223.2, I have at least 2 litres of juice and 1.5litres of water thats minus my lemon and ginger hot water drinks morning and night. I follow the 80/20 rule of juicing and I work out daily for an hour so what am I doing wrong. I am becoming very discouraged even though I refuse to give up. Any answers or clue from anyone will help.

I am not the nutritionist and hopefully others will come along but I would recommend upping your juice. Also juicing too many cruciferous vegetables like cabbage, kale etc, it is perhaps rare (not if you have thyroid problems) but it affected my weight loss at around the 14th day period so doubt it would cause a problem so soon but beware if you are.
