How is everyone doing? I woke up this morning feeling sick and nauseous but I know it's all in part to my Crohn's disease. I feel miserable but I know that it's the bad food I ate last night making me feel this way so I am excited and ready to begin today and hopefully kiss my Crohn's issues goodbye! I had about 24 oz of a sweet potato drink I made and now I'm drinking water. My starting weight is......drumroll please???? 193.0

I want to join the reboot! I will begin February 14 as hubs wants to take me to valentine's dinner tonight! I am 51 years old and hovering much too close to 200 lbs. I am vertically challenged at 4'11" so I can stand to lose a good 70-80 lbs. I have my juicer and have been juicing for one-two meals for about 2-3 weeks. But I want to make the leap to a complete reboot for as long as I can do it. So I'm going to set small goals. I'll try for 10-day and go from there! We belong to a food co-op here in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area so I get a load of fresh fruits and vegetables every two weeks. It's been fun juicing vegetables I would never have eaten in their natural state! Looking forward to rebooting with all of you! Janet

Concerning your disease, I know a woman who nearly died from the same thing. She SWEARS by kefir. She makes it herself everyday and shares the seeds and the benefits with anyone who will listen. Have you ever tried it? It's fairly simple really. I've had kefir and strained kefir (think yogurt) and both work well in smoothies. Sorry this has nothing to do with juicing. Lol

Count me in too! I've got about 50lbs to go and have done a 7 day fast about 3 months ago and I felt great afterwards but the holidays derailed me. So I'm back to it and glad to find a great group of people to reboot with. I did find it very hard last time, but I think I was not as mentally prepared as I am this time. Good luck everyone!

Oh!!!! And a big welcome to all the new people joining! I'm excited to share our experiences together. I want to fast through Easter for sure. I'd love to go longer but right now my commitment is for lent. I need to lose 63 lbs in total but I am more focused on the healthy lifestyle aspect. I need to break my addiction to unhealthy foods and I am sure that once I am able to do that, the weight loss will follow and hopefully it'll be easier to maintain.

Mitzi here: Wednesday weigh-in: 227.4 I'm posting this for my own accountability purposes. My plan: After consulting with my naturopathic Dr., I am easing into the juice fast via the NutraBullet plan for two weeks, juicing, and finishing with the NutraBullet. This will be a first for me on both counts. For LENT: I am dairy free and gluten free for Lent. Since I won't be able to get the NutraBullet until Saturday, I am still following the dairy/gluten free diet. Juice On!

I was forced to go into a dairy and gluten free diet due to food allergies. I had to go completely dairy free, except eggs, in 2009 and didn't lose much. About 6 months ago I had to give up all gluten and I lost 25 lbs. in 4 weeks just from that alone. I can't tell you if you will gain any weight back once you start eating these foods again because I can't eat them without a side effect of a migraine and hives, but I'm assuming a lot of bloating will come back with the gluten. Good luck!

Excited to be starting with everyone today! I went out with my husband last night to get V day out of the way. Honestly I didn't even really enjoy the meal, just the company. I am ready to flip my eating on its head and get rid of dead foods, except for the few rare splurges that honestly I hope I don't even care for. I did not weigh myself today because I can get quite obsessed with the number on the scale and forget about how great I feel. I will have my husband record my weight this evening and keep it out of sight. I will reveal the number at the end but I am afraid it would set me up for failure at this point. I drank a liter of water and attended mass this morning. Once I returned I prepped all my fruits and veggies to juice for the day. It took about an hour and a half to separate, prepare and juice everything. I am following the 3 day reboot plan on the site. So that is 5 juice recipes. Today I made: Carrot Apple Ginger juice Mean Green juice Gazpacho juice Citrus Inspired Green juice and Sunset Blend juice Some juices made more than others, so I am not even sure I will be able to finish all of them. I bought plastic 16 oz Bell freezing jars to store my juices in to seal them off from oxidation. Hopefully it will work out well. I tasted each of them this morning and thought they were all very pallatable. After the 3 days I will determine what I want to do next. Either stick to the juices I like and just make bigger batches or recycle the 3 day plan. Happy juicing all!

Hello all...well, I don't normally put myself out there but I was cruising the site today and came across you all and thought ...what the heck. Didn't see any other guys on here so I am happy to be your token male if you'll have me ?! So, here we go, I'm definitely on board for a 40 day fast to go along with lent. I've managed to gain 20 lbs since just before Christmas...WTF! I need to do something quick. Doc tells me I have a leaky gut...whatever that is, allergies and an overall feeling of crappiness come along with that. So I can use all the help I can get from you guys and vice versa. My main goal is to lose weight but I am going to be 40 in August and I'm kinda in the midst of a midlife crisis. i would love nothing more than to step into 40 a new man and I'm hoping the juice is gonna help. Good Luck to all of you, hope to hangin' with you all on here...talk soon Denny

Hahahaha welcome, Denny!!! We'd be glad to have ya!!! Good luck on your journey! This is my very first fast and I am excited. Thanks so much for opening up and sharing. My husband decided that he was also going to join me so hopefully your post will inspire him to open up and introduce himself. Kiki, I like your plan. Let me know how it goes. I'm still in the honeymoon period with my juicer so cleaning it hasn't yet become the pain I've heard it will become (lol) so prepping an entire day's worth vs my individual juices will probably become much more appealing. I really need to step up the water consumption today....but I've already been peeing like crazy! Haha Mitzer, welcome! I've not heard of the NutraBullet plan. Can you explain it? Best of luck, everyone! I'll check back in tonight after church. :)
