Hi everyone, newbie to this site and reboot. I'm on day 3 and really really missing solid food. Any tips or suggestions to help me get through this?

    Tejul,

I'm new to this, too. I think I sent you a private message. Basically, I can handle the not chewing for the most part because I ask for help from my family to prepare their own foods. When I can, I fix their foods and get in and out of the kitchen fast. :)

    Day 4 of 15

The start of day 4 and feeling optimistic. I haven't weighed myself and resisting the urge to do it, will stick to once a week weigh in. Starting weight 161lbs, 73kgs. This time last year I was 129lbs, 58kgs. 32lbs weight loss is my ultimate goal and I know this is challenging for me. I suffer from arthritis in both knees, back, and toe. Scoliosis, carpal tunnel and tendonitis in both hands and allergy to chlorine so unable to swim in pools. Last time I did that I ended up with laryngitis for a month and antibiotics, lost my voice completely and generally felt awful. I also have polycystic ovaries and this messes my hormones and if that wasn't enough, I'm pre menopausal and that adds to the hormone confusion my body is in. So that's my motivation to do this.

After 15 days, will see how far I am to my end goal and can see me extending it.

You have everything to gain by juicing. Keep up the awesome work. Juicing will help you to even everything out. Have you ever done pilates for exercise? It is awesome for helping to balance the body. I also have scoliosis, but pilates helps me to straighten my body and strengthen it. Focus on what you have and the good you are doing for your body. Breathe, stretch and juice...do what you can and you will continue to improve. A few months ago all I could do was pilates and write my food down. Now I'm juicing. Never could fast, but look at me now! Don't focus on what is wrong...focus on what is right and it will grow. And there is life during pre menopause and after as well because that is me. You are super charging your system with the healthy juice. Talk to you tomorrow!

I think it's good to weigh only once a week...that's what I do. You know the weight is going to come off. Help others on this forum. It will help take some of the pressure off of so much self focus. If you're on day four....great for you! You have something to give to others, I'm sure.

One of the things mentioned in the movie "Hungry For Change" was to think about all the great things you're adding to your body, rather than the things you might miss in the right-now.

Sorry to everyone who's sick of me pushing that movie "Hungry for Change", but it was fantastic and has cameos with Joe Cross!

My other 'trick' is gum, I can't truly say that's juice-fast-approved, but it is in my book.

Thanks for mentioning it! Hungry for Change is all about beating addiction. I'm not hungry when I feed my body good things and don't buy into what others think I should have. I'm satisfied. So, cheers to all of us eating so our bodies can thank us.
