Group Reboots

Posted by Quazza on 3 years ago

Hi all, I am almost age 40 (did I just say that?!) and I have never ever been without food. I am about to do my first ever reboot.

I have a very important question... can I start (or would you advise it to be alright or unwise) if I start my reboot while I am working? I am a high school teacher. Let me share my plan and reasons why I want to do this.

I want to start my reboot next Thursday. The reason for this is that if I wait for the holidays when I have time off of work, I will have all the time in the world to think of food and how badly I want it. I figure that if I start on Thursday while I am working then I will have work to distract me. I can do two days of juicing while I am at work to distract me and then have two days off for the weekend for days 3 and 4 on the juice fast.

Thursday I work until 4:00 pm and then I have a dentist appointment that is only one hour.

Then on Friday I work until 3pm and then I have a 2 hour hair appointment.

I will obviously have Saturday and Sunday off, then work again on Monday and will work the entire week before having 2 weeks off.

Does anyone see a problem with this plan? I've already bought a juicer and have been making juices the last week, so I am prepared. Any tips, advice, or suggestions? Again, it's my first time to do this. Thanks so much! I'm really excited to get started but also a bit apprehensive about my body protesting at the start :)

Cheers,

Quazza

ALWAYS rest when you're detoxing. You can start before vacation BUT it might be best to do it when your off. When you detox ALL of those toxins will be leaving your body and when it does you may or may not get a bad relation.

Headaches or even flu like symptoms may occur. Whichever you get just understand that out bodies are use to getting what it wants and when it doesn't get it, like a child, it will throw a temper tantrum until you give in LOL. DON'T GIVE IN!!!!

You'll need to plan to have ALL your juices prepared, packed and easily accessible. You may get hungry and have withdrawals for the first FIVE days, hopefully not. I work 12 hrs a day M-F and juicing gave me energy once my body got over the first stage.

Remember to drink a juice every 2 hrs. Don't drink too much water as it dilutes the nutrients you're putting in your body. Try to use organic fruits and veggies when you can.

Everyone is different, just listen to your body.

Hi uptowngirl, thanks for your response! It's great to hear all the advice, as I've never juiced before. I'm sure that my body is going to throw the biggest temper tantrum ever, because it throws temper tantrums all the time right now even with food. I just thought that if I was working then I wouldn't obsess about food so much as it is always on my mind, and I'm afraid to do a juice fast when I have time off as I think I will be more prone to throw in the towel. I'll be sure to plan my juices ahead of time and thanks for the advice to drink every 2 hours. It's a good point that I could develop flu-like symptoms. I'm still thinking it through so I will consider all of my options. Thanks for your support - I'm really wanting to change my life through juicing and healthy eating and even though it is scary to start I know that it is something I will need to face. Thanks again :)
