Ketosis in reboot?

Ask the Nutritionist

I have been watching the fat summit and I am curious about more fat in our diet while rebooting. If I am understanding this, when we are on a juice only reboot, we are in a state of ketosis already and adding fat to our diet during the fast would prevent our body from burning the fat that is already there (ie- wanting to lose weight)? We probably would just burn the extra fat that we would ingest, correct?

Just trying to make sense of this process.

Thanks for your help!

    Dear Kelly,

We recommend adding in a helathy oil such as coconut oil, olive oil, walnut oil, avocado oil, to ensure success from day 16 of your reboot. Adding in 2 tsp of a healthy oil will support the reboot and add to your satiety and appetite control and help support hormonal health.

You will still be in a state of ketosis due to the overall calorie reduction in most cases.
