Juicing and Diabetes

Ask the Nutritionist

Posted by Leggzs72 on 5 years ago I have been a member of the join the reboot website for months now and I'm still unsure if juicing is safe for someone with diabetes. I have not seen a doctor in 4 years but I know I need to lose between 30-40lbs. I want to start losing but cant afford to see a dr and I will have to wait up to 6 months to get assistance from the county I live in for health care. Any suggestions on how I can safely juice before seeing a dr?

Dear Leggzs72, As a requirement we need to encourage people to see their doctors if they plan to do an extended reboot - longer then 2 weeks and/or if they have a medical condition. Here is our official information on how to reboot with diabetes and important information to help control your blood sugar - http://www.rebootwithjoe.com/sweetness-how-to-manage-your-sugar-intake-and-reboot-with-diabetes-2/ It is also important to include some type of exercise to help reduce your bsl - it doesn't have to be anything strenuous just getting out there will certainly help - http://www.rebootwithjoe.com/fitness-facts-for-your-reboot/ Protein is also an important macro-nutrient to be aware of - http://www.rebootwithjoe.com/protein-the-reboot-setting-the-record-straight/ Please let me know if you have any further questions!

Thank you Claire. If I had the means now to see a dr I definitely would.
