Juicing 2 meals a day

FAQ

Posted by carly181286 on 5 years ago Hi all I started juicing Tuesday and managed one full day and then breakfast and lunch yesterday. By dinner time (17:00) I was shaking like a leaf and desperate for food. Felt dizzy/sick etc. I caved in and ate :( My thoughts are that perhaps I could juice breakfast and lunch and then have a very healthy dinner, perhaps chicken and veg or a salad. I understand that the point of juicing is to allow your digestive system a break, but surely this would still be amazing for me?? Let me know your thoughts please xx

I think if thats what works for you then do it. juicing only isnt for everybody. the first week i did it i managed to do it (mostly) although i did have the odd banana. the second week i did what you are suggesting. i was still losing weight but just not at the same pace as the first week. try it and see how it goes for you. Good Luck x

Could I ask how much weight you lost the 2nd week? Also if you dot mind what weight you are about. I'm 13.12 and would like to be in the 10's so a long way to go and want a lifestyle I can substation after getting to goal. I feel I could still juice once a day at least when I get to there. X

hi carly i am a lot heavier than you. i am 5'7" and weighed 20st 10lb at the start. In the first week i lost 9lbs tomorrow will officially be the end of my second week and i have lost a further 5lb. it might not be as fantastic as some of the other juicers stories ive been reading as i have adapted it slightly to suit me, but i have never lost 5lb in 1 week on any other diet i have been on so i am chuffed! dont give up yet just do some adjusting with it to suit you. :)

Carly, I found that I needed a small snack mid morning and mid afternoon...like a handful of nuts, or half an avocado, or 1/4 c. of diced cooked chicken (just one of those, not all three!). And then I drank a big glass of water. I craved straight protein. Don't give up because the first day was hard...remember from the movie that most participants really felt awful the first few days. Have a small high protein, high fat snack and see how it goes.

Thank you for all your advice!! I'm defo not giving up, I feel really good today (day 3) although I ate last night! I'm not even hungry today. I think I'm going to get some nuts and seeds in so I can snack mid afternoon as this is when I get really hungry. Then probably have a salad or veg with little chiken for dinner. I think if I do this then I would be able to sustain it. I juiced Monday for 2 meals, full day when I properly started Tuesday and then 2 meals yesterday. I lost an amazing 8lb!! I need to do this to get me out of bad eating habits.....takeaways/rubbish food and diet fizzy drinks! We can all do this I know :) stay strong, eat clean and feel amazing!!

There is a plan for including food which may give you some ideas too :-) I am on day 4. 1 was relatively easy. I craved like mad on 2 but my daughter made my juice and then blended it with a banana, ( can't juice these), oh how much better I felt after that! Really filled me up. Good luck. I have been relying on coke for caffeine to get me through the day for at least 2 years. At 2 cans a day that's a helluva lot if coke! Seriously, if you can stick with it do. If you can't then adapt it for you. We are all different. Good luck :-)

I do juice two meals a days then eat a veggie/vegan meal and have an.. occasional veggie/vegan snack and in week one I lost 11 lbs. I will say I've done this before and ended up slowly falling off the wagon completely. The first times I did a few weeks of what I described above and then a 3 day fast and then back to the first style. I lost 18 lbs total, most of it came off in the first 2 weeks. The fast is just not for me. I didn't go off because I didn't like, I went off of it because I'm such and emotional eater and I had a lot of upheaval at the time and I just fell off the wagon, so to speak. I started gain a week ago Friday and I'm down 11 again, this time I started again, not for weight loss (though I do need it) but because I'm about to have a hysterectomy and I wanted to boost my immune system with the juices. I'm being much more relaxed(I tend to become obsessed with plans like this) in my attitude this time around and I feel much better about the whole thing because instead of focusing on "weight loss!!!", I'm focusing on boosting my health...I know, I know, semantics, but if it tricks my crazy mind then I'm going with it. ;)

I am also getting ready for a hysterectomy next month, I was just trying to find some resources for doing a reboot prior. I actually asked the nutritionist on here for input. My concern is how do you incorporate the additional protein eating vegan? (forgive me, I am a noob).

Thanks guys for all the replies. I was wondering about my reboot because I am also doing it with a little bit of eating as well. Day one I had a small veggie dinner and fruit dessert. ANd day 2 I had an apple for snack and then later in the day a pear. I again ate a small veggie dinner. Today is day 3. I don't know if I will slowly decrease my food intake and juice more than breakfast and lunch. We will see. But I do think that my diet has greatly improved just with those two juices.

Hello I am on my 30 day of juicing. Doing alright have lost about 20 pounds. I divide the mean green juice into 4 small meals and then I have a green soup( leek, green pepper, celery, parsley root, ginger, green spinach or kale, chop all up and poor water over until cover, bring to a boil, turn off heat, cover with a lid, let it stand until cool.) mix portion in a mixer and freeze in one time containers.) I heat one portion up as needed, any time when craving for food comes over me.happy juicing :)

Good Luck, let me know how it works out for you. I myself am getting ready to start juicing twice a day and have a 500 calorie or less meal at night. I will let you know how it works out for me as well..
