I started juicing a week ago, lasted 4 days, but immediately fell back into my old habits. I've had this problem with many diets before and I don't know how to fix it. I lack the willpower to stick to the diet and go way overboard when I stop. Recently I just lost 6 lbs on the diet but I gained it all back when I stopped.

Can anyone please give me helpful tips to stay motivated to juice?

    Well Torio, hate to break the bad news to you, but this is not a "diet". A diet is a short term "Take X pill and lose 100 lbs in 8 days" I did a reboot in 2012, lost 42+ lbs and did not change my eating habits and gained it all back. Juicing is just the start of a lifestyle change.

    The key to this program is to make your mind up that you will change your eating habits for the rest of your life, i.e. eating at least 50% of plant food with sensible other eating choices forever. Forever is a long time, but we live it one day at a time and that is how you should approach this, one day at a time.

    I invited you to a group, a bunch of friendly and knowledgeable people that have a lot of questions and good answers. Take a 1/2 hr or so and read through the posts, it will answer a lot of the questions I'm sure you have. I know it is very hard at first but with support and some results it does get easier, believe me.

    Hey Torio,

    You have to ask yourself WHY? are you doing this? WHY did you want to make this change? If your WHY isn't strong enough for you, then no amount of external 'motivation' is going to do anything to help you. Sit down with a pen and paper and write out all the reasons WHY you wanted to start rebooting in the first place, then write a little story of how awesome your life is going to be once you've achieved the changes you are seeking. Read that to yourself every day for 30 days, be open to what your inner voice has to say and watch what happens!!

    Also, ditto what Jim said! This is just the start of a wonderful, healthy new beginning for you! Who knows what it may lead to??
