Hi all :)

I'm new here! Been juicing for 3 days now and feeling great. (I plan to do 15 or 30 days in total)

But got a question:

How much spinach am i allowed to take?
I know from the time i was pregnant, that i had to be careful with spinach because of the high ammount of nitrates(?) in it. Also when having the kid, i remember that for the same reason I was not allowed much spinach while breastfeeding. Surely this has to do with the child not being exposed to high ammounts, but with those high ammounts that I'm juicing (practically replaincing kale with spinach) I'm wondering if its even healthy for me?

Not being able to drink kale juice without holding my breath i'm really in need for an alternative to kale - but is it ok with so much spinach? Because kale seems to be a main ingredient in a majority of juices.

Thank you all for your time reading this and crossing my fingers you've got the answer!

Eva, I can't cope with Kale, so I have substituted for Spinach - I don't ever use more than 200g at a time...usually less, but that's maybe twice a day. (I can't drink 600ml's juice - I just about manage 450ml)I have been juicing spinach for 14 days now and I feel ok..maybe throw in a courgette or extra cucumber if you are worried. Why don't you ask the nutritionist that is on the site they normally get back to you within 72hrs...you would then get a 'proper' answer to your query.

Hubby and I reduce the amount of Kale per batch and added some spinach. That took out quite a bit of the bitterness. We also added one more small apple.
