What are you favorite green veggies to juice and what are your least favorite. I'm on my first week and going to get more veggies and need some good advice to make this easier. I bought a lot of celery and found out I do not like it. I also found out I really love cucumbers. Cucumbers are tasty in all combinations I have tried.

    That's a very good question, I'll be starting my first ever juice fast on Monday (01/13) and started making my grocery list. All the kale stories are scaring me already..haha

    I can't find kale. I don't know what it taste like. Is it good or bad tasting?

    I've only had fresh kale (sauteed with olive oil) and it was ok - spinach is so much better cooked that way (and they say it can be used as a substitute for kale in your juicing). I've never had raw kale, but from reading the posts on here, everyone says it's pretty bitter, almost dirt tasting - guess i'll find out soon enough.

    @CQinPA,

    I am on day 27 of a 60 day challenge and in all that time never had access to kale, using baby spinach leaves etc, instead. Yesterday. I was given kale and today I juiced it. I personally think its ewww. I will however finish the bunch by adding an extra apple or ginger, etc, but will never ever juice it again! Lol, go spinach.

    Happy thoughts and happy juicing

    Thanks for the info Maxene, that is good to know - I'll buck up and give it the old college try, but like you, I'm all about taste :) WOW at 27 days - good for you, that's awesome! And if I may ask how much weight you have lost in that time?

    @CQinPA, hiya again.

    I have plateaued twice but have lost 8kg/17.6 lbs, and 12.5 cm/ 5 inches off my waist. I weigh weekly and tomorrow is my weigh in and measurement day. Though exercising, I will, however commence whey/ protein powder soon to slow muscle loss whilst on this extended juice plan.

    Dont forget, too, that we are all different in the amount we lose at any given time. Age, the amount of weight you have on presently, genetics,

    etc, all play a determining factor in the way your metabolism works as does the upkeep of keeping hydrated with water and the juice of course.

    Hope this helps.
