I am from Ontario Canada, 58yr old woman -
I am divorced and this 80lb gain has been over the past 6 yrs. Before that - I was always a normal weight 5 6" 150lbs and went to the gym for years.
But a divorce- move to a townhouse with no yard- I am retired so no job - hence, NO ACTIVITY ,playing computer games, menopause has piled this fat on me to a whopping 230lbs.
I want to be at 150 again and WILL BE - there is NO turning back now
Last month my bp was 181/112 I was a walking time bomb- again- there is NO choice now I do not want to be a statistic aka most fat 60yrs olds die of heart failure. This reboot will go from Dec 27th till I reach my goal of 150lbs
Now, I am at the gym- I go daily- Thank you
Start Date: 27th December 2013
End Date: when I reach 150 lbs
Start Weight: 230 lbs
Goal Weight: 160 lbs
Today: 191 lbs Total Wt Lost: 39 lbs -

Hello Susan!! Welcome to rebooting and to the forums here. First off let me say you made a great decision for your health. The juicing plans really work and although it will be a real test of your willpower to stick to the plan...the rewards will be great! I would suggest looking at the plans they have here on the site to begin with. They have a 15 day plan that incorporates eating for the first 5 days and then straight juicing. My wife and I are following that plan except we went straight to juicing...so we started it on day 6 of the plan. It is completely laid out for each day and has all the recipies and the biggest thing is it also has a shopping list for all your items!!! Here is the link: http://www.rebootwithjoe.com/rebooting/plans/

Go to the 15 day free plan and download it. It will talk about why you should reboot etc. as well as give you all the information. Wash your fruit well...(especially the beets with a brush) and get started! Also remember the plans are trying to keep a 80% vegetable to 20% fruit ratio. Without the fruit a lot of these recipes would not taste great. We personally love the carrot apple and lemon morning drinks, the sunrise juice (which has beets in it!), the peach pie delight and purple passion for dessert are really good!!!

Lastly remember to have a large glass of water before you have ANYTHING in the morning. (even before your morning hot water and lemon) Drink at least 60-70 ounces of water throughout the day in addition to the juices. We personally could not drink the coconut juice as we hate the flavor so we drink more water. (you may like it...but f you do get some choose the ones without any additives and preservatives) Happy juicing and hope this helps you! Let us know if you have any questions along the way.

Thank you SO much for all your advice, it is surely needed.
I will do what you have suggested - I have made juice since last spring- But, have never thought of using it as a way of life. Once I viewed the movie- I was sold.
I mean- we watch him and Phil lose weight right in front of the camera
    Goodluck to us all

I have a bit of a headache but will just drink more to help rid it. It is suppertime- quite frankly- I am not hungry and will enjoy my next juice soon
    SUPPER
    BEST RECIPE so far

I also added some Jamaican hot spice just to perk it up a bit- OMG so italian tasting without the pizza

    TIP of the DAY
when you are cold make a hot broth from ALL the excess pulp we are left with after juicing

You will find you don't need that coffee! The morning juices can get you going and keep you awake and full of energy!

Good luck Susan. I was going to start tomorrow, but then failed as usual so..... starting again today. I don't know how long. I am taking one day at a time. My children are also with their dad so it makes a great time to start and I am also no vacation from teaching, no excuses. I have the fruit, veggies and juicer. I am praying for strength and self control to do this.

I don't know the follow up video of Phil
Princevalium can you please give it to us :)
    Francie, you can do it
    if, I can- you can
WE both have NO kids around to cook for- What better time than now.
I look at it like- what the heck- it is worth a try- and then after the 10 days (that is when my son returns) I will see what weight I have lost- and then decide whether to go on to 30 days or not.
Coffee- I surprisingly am not missing it
I only had one a day for the past 3 months- so, a juice sustitute is fine.
I ever threw out the coffee cream just to stop anymore temptation cause I will NOT drink it without cream
    lol
on to the gym in 3 hrs
