Feeling Hungry At Day 6

Group Reboots

Posted by Juicegal on 4 years ago

Hey everybody so I've been juicing for 6 days now and up until now I've been pretty good. I haven't had one thing to physically eat since then and for some reason I just want to eat today. I think I need some extra support to get through today.

Hi! I'm only on day 2 so I have no words of wisdom for you, but I want to say "Bravo"! Well done! 6 days is awesome! Keep on going! You're an inspiration!

I hear you, today was especially hard for me too. I'm on my second 10 day in January, day 5. I lost 11.5 lbs the first one, and was thrilled to see how much thinner I looked in an Instagram picture...hahaha (I tend to lose in my face and neck first). Back to the difficulty though -- I've been craving fried green tomatoes for days! That said, I do eat some whole fruits and vegetables in addition to the juicing, so if your choices are to break the diet or succumb, far better to have an avocado or banana or whatever! It's never stopped my weight loss. Other than that, I have no real advice except hang in there. It's tough, I know! We're all in this together.

Juicegal here are some tips on things that have worked to help me keep going 26 days:

    1. Drink another juice.

    2. Drink a hot herbal tea or hot lemon water

    3. Drink more water.

    4. Go for a walk or run

    5. Go to bed

    6. Look up some savory juice recipes to try (V8 juice recipe... Liquid pizza...etc..)

If none of that works for you & it's either junk processed food or a quality piece of raw fruit or veggie, choose the latter. This gets easier each day you do this as you see the great changes that will be happening to you. Hang in there we are here to help you.

    Keep on juicing on friend.

Thank you for your support. I really appreciate it. I just went to bed and woke up and had a smoothie instead of a juice that way I can have a little bit more on my stomach and I won't want to devour the fridge. Is this normal?

I too incorporated a smoothie (frozen organic berries, coconut water) and that was all the difference in the world. Be careful though. A smoothie can be a gateway food to pizza and meatball subs.

Oh I hear ya. Believe me I've learned my lesson on too much pizza. And I've taken red meat out of my diet so anything that is considered red meat like hamburgers or meatballs (beef meatballs of course) is completely out of the question.

I am on day 7 and really want something to eat! Absolutely everything sounds amazing. I would scarf down a salad right now with no dressing, I am so hungry. ..but I am about to go make another juice :/ ..Maybe I will try making a smoothie and see if that helps. Its really hard that my fiance is still eating normal and I have to watch and smell everything he eats. (He says he is starting tomorrow with me though). I thought the cravings were supposed to stop by day 4??

day 4 or 5 seem to be the point where many people start feeling "ok" about the whole business, but it's different for everyone. after cruising along on auto-pilot for several days, yesterday, (day 12 for me) was probably the most challenging i have faced since day 1. now i am back on track and feeling fine. don't get me wrong, a raw green salad with no dressing sounds mighty fine to me right now but staying juiced and watered, and focusing on the goal really helps.

I was doing great on day 3-5. Now I am feeling like each day is getting harder. Would adding a protein suppliment help?

how often are you juicing and how large are the servings ? are you getting enough water ?

anytime i hit a rough spot it seems to be caused by A) not enough juice, B) not enough water or, C) boredom.

p.s. ... it also helps to have a herbal tea now and then, just for a change of flavour.
