Greetings from Minneapolis!

I'm on day 8 and I feel GREAT !

I adapted just fine - and am doing it the way Joe did on Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead. I'm 100% Juicing. NO solids. To date I am doing all Mean Green - along with a Carrot/Orange every other day.

I have 50 pounds to lose - and so really need to keep my eye on the target if I am going to do this! I came at this as a 'closet' smoker (no longer) and ready to get in the car to Dairy Queen on a whim at 11pm... so I was GREEN GREEN GREEN on eating well.

For Me - it became Real Easy after watching "Forks Over Knives" - and "Food Inc." (Netflix and You Tube) - and a host of other movies you can find on how food is produced. Think of it "food is manufactured" - May I interest you in some High Fructose Corn Syrup? YIKES. Taking the approach of more than just losing weight is the key for me... changing my life for reasons that I can relate to...

Hey I could stumble - and even crash and burn - so I am really just taking it one day at a time and I will be looking to YOU to help me up... Start 183 - Today 174 - Essentially 1 pound a day - and I am nourishing my body with GOOD REAL FOOD. :)

    Such an inspiration! I want to lose around 15 pounds I'm starting Thursday and I'm super nervous any tips on what I should eat tomorrow ( the day before juicing starts) thanks and keep it up !

    You are in a GREAT PLACE for your health and weight loss... I'm moving all my posts to GROUP - come on over and join us... it is the FEBRUARY 1st start group. Many are still coming in ! A great - inspirational group with lots of tips on juicing. And to answer your question... I am following JOEs 60 day juice that he did on the show. I do ONLY Mean Green and did a couple (2) orange/carrot ---- too confusing to worry about meal planing at this stage. Just get a routine down - Then when you are TRUELY bored - change it up - but remember the MEAN GREEN is still the core of the program. I am ONLY doing juice (like Joe did) until I lose my 50. REINFORCING what I am doing is the key for me... I'm already planning on what I'm going to eat when I lose the weight - and that keeps me going. My tastes have already changed. Watch some movies about food - like Food, Inc. and Forks over Knives. and the Gerson Miracle (watch to the end if you do this one) ...
