Juicing and the new me!

Hi guys, i thought i would share my experience with you all with juicing and a small personal part. I'm currently on my 2nd juice fast and have got to 7days, this is the 2nd time i've done 7days with the first time a failure. Reasoning being i didn't have scales i couldn't weigh myself on the first time and without seeing results i was not motivated enough. When i came off my first 7day fast i went crazy eating all the wrong foods and it was almost like i was making up for time not eating. This 2nd time i learnt from my mistakes, bought myself a set of scales able to go up to my weight (378lbs) and i started my 2nd juice fast on the 20th of October. Fast forwarding to now 7 days later i feel fantastic! I weighed in this morning at 363lbs and have no cravings of food and actually look forward to every juice. I would like to add i've been doing alot of swimming and losing the 15lbs wasn't just down to juicing but it was a big part. I have a juice 3 times per day. Morning juice is 4 carrots, 2 oranges and a quarter of pineapple. My lunch and dinner is basically a mean green but il sometimes add in carrots or any left over pineapple i have. I did think i would get sick of the same juices everyday but i'm having no problems having the same each day and this is coming from someone who has not eaten a single vegtable since i was a young young child lol. I know its cliche but i really think that if i can do this anyone can! I wish you all luck in your juicing experiences and feel free to ask any questions!

P.s i am trying to go for 30days now. :)

Skepticist, Awesome! I'm on day 8. I started on Oct. 20 also! I like your juice schedule. I can tolerate fruit juice in the AM and the mean green seems best suited for lunch and dinner. I think I'll try that. Our scales are out so I don't know my weight loss but clothes are feeling a bit more forgiving. Good job on the swimming! I felt jittery and weak this morning. I'm hoping my pear/pineapple, ginger will pep me up. Thx for sharing!

Thanks for the replies. Congrats also on both your successes! Yeah the fruit juice in the morning is a very nice start to the day. I do notice my clothes fitting so much better lol, going to be nice to finally go into a store and buy a smaller size! I honestly haven't been brave enough to try ginger in my mean green yet (only because i think its going to be very strong), but i might give it a try this week as the weather is a little colder now and that little hint of warmth will be nice :)

I usually do not like ginger (the taste or smell) but I use it in my green juice and do not even notice it...at all :) I tried a sweet potato in my morning juice today (with ginger too), blueberries, apple and greens...almost think it was my best one yet :)

Ooh, that sounds very nice, might have to get some sweet potato in my next shop on Tuesday, i'll probably have to give the blueberries a miss as the prices where i live for them right now are pretty ridiculous lol... Yeah i think its just the smell of ginger makes me think it'll make my drinks very strong. :) How many days are you planning on doing? :)

My goal is to try for 30 and go from there...luckily today is a much better day for me than yesterday so day 30 looks obtainable :)

    Just a small update:

    Currently on Day 13!

So day 13! Feeling great and before i start i would like to say i did cheat last night. I don't feel as bad as i thought i would about it because i'm straight back on the wagon today without hesitation. I haven't been able to work out all week due to back pain which has held me back alot in my weight loss, but as for how i'm feeling, i'm feeling fantastic. Probably the most healthy i've been in a long time. I was around 380lbs when i started and i'm now 359lbs as of this morning! I suffer with sciatica and get it quite bad too but i'm going to try a new drink to day that reduces inflammation which will hopefully help, its 2 pears, 2 apples, 2 celery and a sweet potato. I will keep you posted on that one. I have been writing a daily blog if anyone is interested, if not its ok because i'm doing it more for myself to look back on when i've hit my goals! Its: http://juicinglee.blogspot.co.uk/ - I'll check in every week or so here with updates! Thanks for reading.

Skepticist, Awesome! You are motivating me so much. I just did the ten day fast but as of this morning will begin juicing for lunch and dinner. I find going to bed feeling hungry is a skill I need to develop! Good luck on the rest of your journey

Hey Skepticist! Sounds great and congrats on continuing even though your body is in pain. I'd love to know if the pain goes away for good, leaving you comfortable in your fantastic-ness!! I'm on day 16 and happy as a clam. Not sure how far I'll go - but at least to day 20 for sure. Can't wait to check out your blog!

Hi Skepticist, SUPER! I am on Day 13 and feeling great too!! I am not hungry - but I have not tried to excercise, yet. My plan is to start excercising after I am done with my 30 day fast. I haven't weighed myself - but my tummy is shrinking and I love it. I haven't had any cravings - which is odd - especially because I love coffee - but for the first tme in my adult life I don't wake up needing coffee to wake up - I wake up awake - amazing. I have decided to do raw food after I am done and repeat the fast in 3 months again. I am so glad I saw the movie. Keep it up!!!

Hi Skepticist! You are doing great! Sorry to hear about back pain. I am on day 3 and My body is asking me why I'm not feeding it. But, mind over my matter! After reading this thread, I think I will try the sweet potatoe drink as well! God be with you on your fasting journey!
