Day 4- Looking Good

Reboot Newbies

Posted by Insaneclaw on 6 years ago So I've been noticing my self getting a bit slimmer in the face, and I didn't want to say anything cause I didn't want to bum myself out if it was all in my head. Its been three days (starting day 4 this morning) and I decided to weigh myself and I've lost 5 pounds. My scale is acting funny shifting and telling my either I've lost 4.5 or 5, but either way its pretty awesome. The past three days have been utter mayhem with me going crazy from the cravings i was having. Day 1 all I could think about was cheeseburgers, day 2 it was all about potato chips, and day 3 the craving started to lighten up. Luckily last night I didn't get a headache cause usually I'd get headaches each night, so I'm hoping day 4 is the day things pick up for me. I'm going to continue to post my journey here, I'd had been meaning to do keep post in my day 1 post, but due to me going crazy it got away from me. I hope everyone else is doing well on their juice journey. Dave

Hi Dave, I'm on my second day and wow...you're right about the cravings. I'm not craving bad foods per se but, just the snacking...the crunching and salt. I did have a slight headache this morning but, it's gone. Are you hungry in between much? I am a bit. what helps you? I've been trying to drink more water when i feel that. Lisa

Hi Lisa, I was starving in between meals, and sometimes I couldn't wait anymore so I would jump into my next juice to calm it down. If I drank already a lot of juices I'd just drink water as well to getting rid of the hunger. Usually before I'd go to bed the hunger would stop, I think for me it might have been anxiety making me hungry. Recently I have been eating a grape here and there if I needed just to actually chew on. Today instead of a juice I had a small bowl of grapes for afternoon snack. When I bought the grapes I never meant to eat them, I had planned to use them for the purple juice for dessert. Since I had a bowl of grapes for lunch, for dessert I plan to have an orange drink that way I don't surpass the fruits to vegetable ratio. I don't know if eating the grapes is allowed, but my logic to eating them was that the amount of grapes I ate, was the amount I was planning to juice anyway. So either way I was gonna ingest them today, but I hope I was right in doing so and that I didn't break any rule in this diet. After all I am a newbie lol. But anyway, the simple act of chewing kinda got rid of my craving, like right now I am hungry but I'm not really craving junk. So perhaps (if its allowed) if there's a fruit or vegetable you plan to juice that you actually like you could eat it instead of juicing it, cause perhaps you are like me and needed to actually chew something. I wouldn't advise you do this with one of your main juices like for Breakfast, lunch, or dinner; probably do it with your afternoon snack or your dessert. I hope I helped, and I hope you get through your rough patch. People say after day 3 it gets better, and it does. Although I have craving that still stab me through out the day, it feels more dulled down. Which makes me think my body is slowly getting used to it. All the best of luck Dave

So its day five today for me, and its Sunday which is the toughest day to be doing this diet. Sunday is the only day my father has a day off from work so he always takes me and my sister out to restaurants to eat for dinner and breakfast. I had to stay home as he takes my little sister out to some restaurant to eat breakfast. I can't help but picture the places they are going, and picture the foods they are eating. I can't help but feel ever so hungry again, and it makes me feel pretty bad. The only silver moment of today was the fact that while my dad picked up my little sister, he looked at me and said "Wow its really working" which sort of gave me some strength to keep pushing forward. Ugh, hopefully I can survive today in one piece. Wish Me Luck, Dave

LOL could be worse. I have 2 kids that I have to cook for. I made them some nice home made pizzas. Complete torture. If I can make it through that I can make it through anything.

@jtscira: Wow I that is bad lol. Pizza is on my list of foods that when I see I have to have. I'm glad you got through that. Well today is day 6 (almost an entire week yay XD) and I am still on the wagon. Yesterday was tough and I almost just quit and ate. My dad was yelling at me saying that it wasn't healthy to not be eating, and he bought me an entire chicken breast for me. I could hear something in my head like a guitar string being tighten so much its about to pop. However I told him no and placed myself in another room, as he and my sister ate. I ate grapes though to help me through the ordeal I had gone through, which makes me feel bad because I don't know if I should be eating them. Anyway today I realized how I hate my juicing process, how time consuming it is. From prepping the fruit and veggies, to juicing them, to cleaning the pulp in the juicer, to cleaning the juicer, to cleaning the things I used to prep the veggies. Sometimes it takes me up to an hour doing all of this, maybe I'm slow but I wish I wasn't in my kitchen so much lol. I just gotta figure out a way that will take less time and less cleaning up, does anyone know of a way? Because that would be really helpful. Anywho tomorrow is another weigh day and I'm excited to see if I have lost anymore weight. Hope everyone else are still going strong, Dave

So its day 7 and....dayum it's been bad. So today was another weigh in, cus I decided to weigh myself every 3 days. I weighed myself and only lost 1 pound since the last time I weighed myself. It was a pretty big let down especially after all the trouble I had been going though. However I carried on as usual, but with that on the back of my mind it made the day kinda tough. I went to two different supermarkets and neither one of them had anymore kale. I found very little kale at the last minute, and then made some gross mean green DX. I almost gave in to temptation as well, cus my little sister was eating a huge bag of potato chips and she took one out and put it in my hand and said "One wouldn't hurt". I gave it back and said no, I also had to wash my hand cus I would have literally licked the salt off my hand lol. Its been a tough day but I'm trying to tell myself that its better to have lost a pound than not to have lost anything or worst gain a pound. I have improved my juices reducing the fruits and I'm no longer eating the grapes and see what happens in three days. Dave

Dave, you are doing so good! Keep it up! It sounds ilke your family is making it hard on you. I'm sure they don't mean it. It's hard to understand why someone would go on a juice fast if you are not in their shoes. Good job, hang in there!
