Posted by yukon_wn on 6 years ago Hello, Today, was good even though the scale this morning said that I gained one LB. No worries. I'll get back to going the other way, tomorrow ? Perhaps, it was the steamed cauliflower that I had with dinner, yesterday ;-) On my way home, today - my wife calls and she wants White Castle. Why do you have the guy following this type of program be the one to stop and get fast food. White Castle is probably about the worst fast food there is but let me tell you - It sure smelled good :-O During lunch time, I didn't have a back-up juice made. My only resort - Steamed brussels sprouts. Oh My - did they taste so good. It seems the taste buds are alive and able to appreciate flavors like they never had before. One thing that I noticed, today - I don't seem constantly thirsty as I have been, since I started this. I hope that I am finally able to retain some water. Sure, is better then drinking/eliminating all day long. Take care and I wish everyone success......

    Day 20! Bravo. I am only on day 4 but I think I'm past the feeling bad part. My husband was kind enough to cook for the family over the weekend for the most part. I went to make the kids quesadillas and almost cracked. I had to have him come cut the cheese so none would end up in my mouth. I can't imagine having fast food nearby and not grabbing a fry. That takes some strength on your part! "drinking/eliminating all day long" that's actually good to hear because it seems I can't do anything without many many bathroom breaks. In with the liquid, out with the liquid. :) How often do you weight? I find myself stepping on the scale too often throughout the day.

    "Throughout the day?" Stop that.... you'll just make yourself crazy. I try to get on only every third or fourth day. That way I'm sure to see some movement. I get bummed when I see none... or it goes up. I'm on Day 19, and most days are easy. Weekends are the hardest. Too much free time sitting around wondering what's in the cupboards. I bought some vegan protein powder today. I was getting some strong cravings for meat that I haven't had the whole time, so I thought maybe it was the lack of protein. Guess we'll see. Anyway, it can't hurt. Good luck all!
