Day 16 - Goal 60 days

Free for All

Posted by yukon_wn on 6 years ago Hello, Today, was another good day. The scale told me that I lost another 2 lbs for a total of 21 lbs :-) During my lunch break, I walked over a fast paced mile and it felt great. I still can't find cauliflower. Probably, because it is too dang expensive. I was looking forward to the California harvest of cauliflower but with the cold snap that just happened, so much for cheap cauliflower :-( Any suggestions for a low cal, filling vegetable would be much appreciated ! To satisfy myself, I steamed some mushrooms and had them with my dinner juice. Completely satisfied with both tonight. A fellow at work, today, saw my bottle of mean green. He said - what the hell is that ? I told him a little about it. He said - Seriously, you drink that everyday ? I said - Yes, I do. He walked away, shaking his and a muttering something about swamp water - LOL As time goes by, my fixation on meat and seafood is dwindling. When I started juicing, I thought that I would break the fast with a huge chunk of roast beef, a side of fried chicken and a few beer to wash it all down. Perhaps, even a lobster, scallops and fried fish. Now, as good as that sounds, I don't think, I will be doing that. I need to rethink my fast breaking meal, now :-) How is everyone sleeping. My sleep has been good and I need fewer hours of sleep then I have in the past. Last night, I went to bed around midnight, didn't sleep until 1:30 am and got up at 7:30am. Sure, I could have slept more but within a few mins, I felt good and I wasn't tired the whole work day. As I sit here and type, its 930pm and I am still wide awake. Take care and I wish everyone a good juicing day, tomorrow.

Way to go....1/4 the way complete! I had to laugh when you said you thought you would break the fast with meat and you started naming all the food you wanted. I am only in day two and a vegetarian (newly) and everything you named are things I would love to have right now!! I hope the cravings go away, I find myself smelling everything and wishing I was eating it! Good Luck and I look forward to reading more of your updates!! Cheers to you and your "swamp water" :)

Brian, just curious... are you doing the reboot with food, or just eating veggies when you're hungry? Also I find Asparagus, and Brussels sprouts to be good alternatives for filling low cal veggies!! :)

Hello, Ksmith5280 - Thanks. As time goes by, the cravings have lessened. Got to love the Swamp water ;-) Anniepie4 - I started the reboot with the food recommended on the "15 day reboot plan", only. All veggies and fruit, such as salads, apple bake, sweet potato baked fries, etc. Now, I am concentrating more on juice and eating veggies when I need more than juice to satisfy me. No meats, cheese, bread, cereal, milk, beer, etc. Everyone, once in awhile, I will have a glass of almond milk but that's about it. Brussels sprouts. Yes - good idea. I think that would do the trick ! I don't recall seeing them at my produce store. So hard this time of year in the midst of winter for certain items. But, there is never a shortage of Kale - LOL.
