Day 13 - Goal 60 days

Posted by yukon_wn on 6 years ago Hello, Today was good with a very slow start. Hmmm, I slept in some and woke up tired. The first time since, I started juicing. Fortunately, with my first juice of the day, the tiredness abated. The scale was good to me, this morning. I lost 2 1/2 lbs for a total of 17 1/2 lbs :-) Later in the day, I hit the produce market and spent $35. I am going to focus on the mean green drink for this week. Still no cauliflower at the market. So expensive this time of year. Last week, for only a softball sized cauliflower, they wanted $2 - OMG, you have to be kidding :-( I miss cauliflower - low in cal and very filling. After that, we went to Sams club. I got the kids pistachios and ice cream. For my wife, a box of chocolate. I only bought coffee for myself - yes, I know we are not supposed to have coffee during juicing. This is my weakness. I love a good cup of coffee during the day. Tonight, I made my kids and dad, grilled pork chops. I kept asking them how do they taste ? They only thing that I did was take a few deep inhales from the pork chop aroma. Even though I had my dinner juice, I couldn't shake the hunger so I grilled some mushrooms. A very low cal way that put my hunger at bay. Tomorrow, I am going to introduce Almond Silk brand milk and Kashi cereal to my kids. Let's see, if they like it. Take care and wishing everyone a good day juicing.

@ Brian - Great Job!! I'm sure the pork chops smelled delicious! My son was eating a sub from the pizza shop he works at. The sandwich is called a Godfather, loaded with all the Italian deli meats and cheeses. I tried not looking at him eat, finally I broke down and asked him if I could just smell it. Smelled delicious, and that's all I needed to continue on drinking my green juice. I too am going for 60 days and closing out day 19. I try not to weigh myself too frequently :) My next weigh-in will be on Tuesday...keeping my fingers crossed that my scale will be kind to me. Good luck on your cauliflower hunt. Such a wonderful vegetable. I'll be starting my seeds soon in preparations for my veggie garden. Have a great evening :)
