Group Reboots

Daily Check-In: Week of May 1-7

Group Reboots

Posted by Destroyer on 2 years ago

Today is day one of a (hopefully) 60 day stretch. I've attempted to reach 60 days in the past and managed to get to 20-ish days but never anything beyond that. I'm starting this thread to give people not necessarily in a group a place to check in daily. I figured I'd see more success if I held myself accountable every day.

Here goes.

Day 7. I'm feeling confident after getting through my days off. This process is a lot easier while I'm working. Tonight I can put a lid on Week 1 and start plowing through Week 2.

    How's everyone else doing?

First day of the juicing, had my hot water and ginger and one juice so far. How much have you all lost so far?

So far I've dropped 17lbs. I know most of that is water weight, but its still nice to see. I just hope that number keeps going down consistently.

day 7 here. It's been a weekend full of 2 bday parties and am now sitting in Cheesecake Factory for a family dinner. I'm happy to say I've brought my juices with me everywhere and stayed on track.....but DANG this is hard. Scale says I'm down 6 pounds so I'm hanging onto that for motivation. Hope everyone is doing well!!

I think I had a delayed detox. Since I started I've had some detox symptoms (brain fog, pressure headaches), but I really hit the wall on Saturday night / Sunday. (Days 9 & 10). I was ridiculously tired + cranky & depressed. So I've upped my juice & water intake + stopped my protein / coconut oil shakes in the morning for a couple of days to try & purge the toxins. I think this is doing the trick & I feel like I'm coming out the other side, but not finished detox yet. My skin is also quite dry, I don't know if that's a detox symptom or if I'm not getting enough good fats, or because of Winter (or maybe all 3!).

Anyone else having late detox symptoms or dry skin?

I haven't weighed in, I don't intend to until the 33 day mark, but my clothes are definitely looser, so I'm feeling good about that.

I agree with DC, Mucki. Don't stop the coconut water. I too had the same, delayed, crash round-about the Day 9/10 where I too was cranky. I'm on day 18 of 30 and noticed a really dry splotch on my outer thigh. That's great that your clothes are feeling looser on you. I tip my hat that you're not looking at the scale until you're done with your 33 days. I finally had to put away the scale on day 15 because I was going crazy that it was 0.0 loss, 0.2 loss, 0.2 GAIN, 0.4 loss and 0.0 loss between days 10-15. I weighed myself on Day 15 just to have a baseline and decided I'll now only weigh myself on days 20/25/30, until I'm done. Keep up the great work, that loose pant feeling makes me WANT to con't juicing! =)

Since we've made it through the first week of May, I figured it was time to stick a fork in this thread! Well done, everyone!

In an attempt to keep things more organized, I've started a new thread for this week, feel free to check-in!
