Group Reboots

Posted by Destroyer on 2 years ago

Today is day one of a (hopefully) 60 day stretch. I've attempted to reach 60 days in the past and managed to get to 20-ish days but never anything beyond that. I'm starting this thread to give people not necessarily in a group a place to check in daily. I figured I'd see more success if I held myself accountable every day.

Here goes.

Keep on fighting the good fight! After you get past the dreaded "fog" of the first few days, things definitely get easier.

    Day 3 down.

Its crazy how much of my life revolved around meal times and how little I recognized it until its not there anymore. I think all the time I spend actively avoiding food during the juice fast makes time seem to just drag by agonizingly slow--then the fact that I'm only on Day 3 of 60 becomes daunting. Luckily I've been here before, but this time I'm more motivated and resolved to make it to Day 60. It also helps that my wife is currently binge-watching 'My 600-Pound Life.' A not-so-subtle reminder of why I'm doing this.

I'll keep checking in daily. Everyone keep on keeping on!

Nice to see active people on the thread, lets me know that im not alone in this journey which is a big deal for me :)
currently on day 4 and all i can say is that my bowels are dancing. Been going to the wash room everyhour now, i guess that shows that its working

Like destroyer i too am only doing a juice only fast and drink 3 - 4 juices daily with ALOT if water. stil getting some hunger urges and fatigue still comes around but i know that it'll get worse before it gets better.

ill try my best to postdaily so keep juicing on hope you guys have a great day :)

You are not alone! This is a big deal for me too. I had my birthday 2 weeks ago & just thought it's now or never. I love the extreme nature of this juice fast, fast results are the best motivator to keep going. I'm looking for energy, clear-thinking, weight loss & to cure an auto-immune. I'm on Day 7 now & very optimistic! Day 4 was a bugger, so push through it - it will get better.

I want to start next week. Has it been hard?

Hi MissDaisy! It is hard to change how we see/use food-not gonna lie. Being prepared is what has brought me success. The app has been my best friend. Pick a Meal Plan and it has grocery lists, recipes, a daily tracker for accountability.......and of course I think finding the community on this website is great support. I know others have posted the book is really helpful too. Whatever works best with your lifestyle, just go for it. And if you have an "off" day just get right back to it the next day; don't waste time beating yourself up. Good luck!

I agree, tanmarchten, it's nice to see active posts on here. I'm on day 4 and thankfully it seems the headaches have stopped. Pants are not quite as tight (yay!) but to be honest, I'm not that interested in weighing myself. Maybe after 2 weeks....we'll see. :)

Mucki-I believe you mentioned the bone broth in an earlier post? Sorry if I'm remembering wrong. Anyway just wanted to throw it out there that I made the butternut squash soup using the recipe on the app and it was fantastic to eat a warm meal. Just 5 ingredients too: onion, carrot, veggie broth, apple, butternut squash. Really easy to make and delicious.

Good luck to all of us! Juice on. :)

    Great tip, thanks jtellez!

I have the 101 juices app, but I haven't downloaded the other app yet. I'll have a look at it now though, I didn't realise there were soups allowed.

MissDaisy, I think the app might be for iOS only. The name of the app is Reboot with Joe!

hi! I'm new to this and I'm on day 4. I wanna quit. I wanna eat so bad. I'm getting so frustrated making stuff for

The kids or smelling restaurants. Is this feeling ever gonna pass? Will I ever be satisfied with drinking juice? I have to just suck them down because they taste so nasty and bitter. Help me ????????

Hi Bethann, it must be really hard having to do the cooking, I don't know what your situation is but is there any way your partner could take over the duties for a little while?

If you're finding the juice bitter, get the 101 recipes app. There's some really yummy sweet juices on there using pineapple & watermelon or 1 that combines red capsicum with oranges... delicious & tangy. There's even sweet potato juices that are surprisingly good. Personally, I find that just by adding the green apples, the green juice tastes pretty good.

Keep strong, stick to the commitment you've made to yourself... you're stronger than you think!

Hey your post gave me a good chuckle.. I feel the frustration now that I'm on day 23.. I'm ready to eat!! But I have a goal to see this through to day 30.. You can do it! How long are you going for? What helped me about half way was that I tried on a dress I have in my closet that I want to look great in and I am not quite there yet so it has pushed me to stick with it.. It could be anything that motivates you to stay on track just do it!! Happy Juicing!!

I've been battling my juice cleanse since day 6. Wish I could say that I've stuck with it!!! :( Once you "cheat" by eating its so easy to do it again. Today I want to eat so badly and I'm here for any motivation at all to stop me!!!

Day 4 roasted. If anyone is feeling discouraged, just remind yourself why you're doing this in the first place. Cravings are fleeting. They will pass.

    Stay strong!
