Group Reboots

Posted by Destroyer on 1 year ago

Today is day one of a (hopefully) 60 day stretch. I've attempted to reach 60 days in the past and managed to get to 20-ish days but never anything beyond that. I'm starting this thread to give people not necessarily in a group a place to check in daily. I figured I'd see more success if I held myself accountable every day.

Here goes.

I'm on day 6.... feeling much better today. much more energy & starting to think more clearly, but still a bit vague. i'm aiming for the 60 days or more, need to make a drastic change. what are you guys doing for protein & fats? i'm having a protein shake w/ a tbsp of coconut oil each morning, or doubling that if i've been to the gym.

I'm just going for straight juice for 60 days. For protein, I'm using spirulina in my green juice. I figure that would be sufficient. Day 6--that's great. Once you get passed the initial foggy, bewildered stage at the beginning of a juice fast, things get a little easier. Like tanmarchten said above--I'm just trying to take this one day at a time. Time to get day 3 underway!

And thanks for the pic compliment, though I must confess it isn't me. Its a picture from the Disney movie "Heavyweights" about kids attending fat camp. Considering I'm going through this juice fast with weight loss as my primary objective, I thought it was appropriate.

Mucki: For what it's worth, when I told my personal trainer I was going to Reboot for 60 days, she recommended this product. I put one scoop into a blender ball shaker with a 16.9 oz can of coconut water for my midmorning drinkl.

thx tony, good to know. Any feedback yet on whether protein is making a difference, good or bad?

I'm taking the protein to help prevent muscle loss during my Reboot. I want to lose fat, not muscle. The protein is there to help protect my muscles and if protein is going to get eaten away at, I'd prefer it by the protein I'm giving my body via the Vega product and not coming off my muslces! =)

I've just discovered bone broth - had my first cup tonight. So nice to have a hot cup of broth for dinner (green juice for desert) Apparently Joe has OK'd it in his book and it's got great health benefits + good protein ( 1 cup was about 40 calories). I think I'll have a couple of these a week when I need a "hot meal"!

Day 3 here.......using the app to follow the 30 day classic reboot. Fatigue is hitting a bit hard and it's difficult to stay engaged at work. But thankfully I'm not struggling with hunger. Good luck to everyone!
