Bee, to answer these type questions, go back out to Google.com. Search on a term along with the "rebootwithjoe.com" site name. For instance, I just searched on "rebootwithjoe.com kombucha" and found the official word from a nutritionist about kefir and kombucha...

Kombucha and Kefir: Worth trying? - Reboot With Joe

https://www.rebootwithjoe.com/kombucha-and-kefir-t... Kombucha is a type of fermented tea, while kefir is fermented milk (dairy or non-dairy) beverage. We've talked before about the benefits of fermented foods, but ...

Bee, Try the same question with your chewing gum question. Quicker than trying to find the "Ask the Nutritionist" section and posting there. She only answers questions usually about once/week.

Also, if these things really help you get past the first week's cravings, for me I decided to use them if they weren't interfering and then leave them off later once I was used to the juice fast. That approach may not work for everyone. But I have seen a lot of people get well doing this imperfectly. Just don't use that as an excuse to eat/drink items you know are full of the things we're trying to give our bodies a break from.

Zeke, I lost you there. What comment to Jennifer? Where?

Some of the commercial kombucha products have all sorts of junk in them I wouldn't drink. But perhaps there are some healthy choices if you're careful? Or you could make your own.
