Brand New Juicing

Reboot Newbies

Posted by Juicegal on 4 years ago

Hey everyone! I wanted to make a new forum to see if there was anyone that was brand new to juicing, or has just started their juice fast. I'm on day four as of 1-21-15 and I'm feeling great. I've lost over 5 pounds now and super excited to see what happens next! Juice on everyone!

Hey is that a Red Wings Jersey? I'm on my second day and all is well. I'm just using Naked Juice for now and will see how that goes before buying a juicer and dealing with that mess. Good luck to you!

Yes that is a redwings jersey. I just became a fan this year! Thank you very much. And working with the juicer and making the fresh juice is a bit messy, but completely worth it. I don't want to buy bottled juice now because of it.

I am on Day 1 and super excited to see you've lost 5 pounds! Congratulations! You should join the Reboot Sisterhood group. I would love to have your inspiration. We have another new start as well.

Looking forward to it. I'm really happy that I'm beginning to reach my goal of 30 lbs. Once you get past day 3 you'll be fine, but those first three days are the hardest.

S Mountain, be careful with sugar intake. Im not sure if Nakedhas any. If you can stand the pulp, which I LOVE, use a blender.

Congrats on your 3 pounds. Believe me i know about the temptations when it comes to food. My fiance wanted to have tacos last night so I offered to get him Taco Bell. Surprisingly I didn't cave even when I really, really, really, REALLY wanted to. I handed him the bag and told him to take it before I ate plastic. :) Hang in there!

Hey every one, any advice as to how to get started here? I am so new and am clueless on what juicer to get and what to juice with it? how many times per day?

I work 12-14 hours per day so how often do i make the juice?

Hey there popo636 ... Welcome to the juice community. I am new as well and not began my fasting stage yet. I have juiced before and can tell you that in the beginning it is best to follow one of the reboots (3 day or 5 day) all the ingredients and recipes are there for you.

You are able to store the juice for up to 3 days and you can even freeze fresh juice if you like. I wish you the best of luck!

Look forward to seeing your progress.

I highly recommend the app as well. It' helps you track and gives you recipes etc It's only 5.99.

With regard to the type of juicer, I feel that any juicer will work. Some people on here have used blenders and a strainer until they were ready to make the purchase. If you do happen to purchase a juicer I do recommend lining it with a bag, it makes it easy to dispose of.

Additionally, you can make a lot of recipes with the pulp, a few are named in the reboot with Joe book. This can be a really fun process once you get past the feeling of being overwhelmed.

    keep me posted!

I had no idea to line my pulp catcher with a bag. That makes life sooo much simpler. Thank you!
