As a diabetic...

I'm curious if anyone has encountered the same as a diabetic, my doctor wants me to blend rather than juice. Same premise, same recipes, but as a smoothie so I can have the bulk of the fiber. She said that possibly after a full 30 day smoothie reboot, I could juice because she thinks I'll be able to come off my insulin altogether at that point! Any yays or nays in either direction about this?

I would try what your doctor says, but the one thing you will need to do is find different recipes. Many if not most juice recipes don't translate well to smoothies. A lot of them will give you a disgusting sludge that will be almost impossible to choke down. Many will give you much more smoothie than they would juice, as juicing removes most of the fiber. Blending retains the fiber, and a juice recipe that gives two servings might give 3 or 4 servings of smoothies.

There are a lot of weight loss smoothie recipes and recipe books out there, find a couple of good ones and go for it!

I'm starting my juice fast tomorrow as a diabetic. I have had some recent experiences that make me think that juicing will be fine, but follow my group if you're curious (March towards health)

I think if you start with pure juice, then it will be stressful for your body.
