Anyone know of a seal/gasket that works on a Breville??

FAQ

We have started juicing again, and now that I'm doing some of the "work", I've found that our Breville leaks pretty badly between the top cap and the lower plastic section where the blade sits. I figure there's got to be a rubber O ring or gasket that can be placed in the outer ring to prevent this. (By gasket, I mean something like the rubber seal on canning jars or glass containers with air tight seals). Has anybody found one that works? If so, let me know where you found one. Thanks! Lee

Which model do you have? There is no seal there, and it should not leak. Maybe the lid is warped? Can you see any obvious (or not so obvious) reason for the leaking? Are you shoving stuff into it too fast (that never made it leak when I do it). I'm thinking that something here is not right, it should not be leaking. Is your basket teeth dull to the point it slings pulp all over, causing the leaking?

I took a closer look at mine last night. If yours is leaking, I suspect it is warped, leaving a gap that should not be there. Take a good close look at yours, and see if one of the parts is warped, leaving a gap.
