This is for those starting out. I am 4 days away from the end of a 30 day juice program (self guided) and I am a very happy camper. I had tried Whole 30 and intermittent fasting just before and neither led to any weight loss. I was probably (my scale had broken-so I'm not sure) 158. I am now 145. I'm not at my goal, but I am so happy to not be trapped in my fat suit any longer. It was very slow and frustrating at first. I didn't realize just how much I wanted the weight off. I started out with a 15 day fast and thought I'd try 5 more days because I didn't feel like I had lost enough, then kept going.. I followed the Reboot with Joe book religiously until day 21 when you are allowed to improvise. This was great for me, because some day you just feel like certain vegetables. I got sickish one day with lots of diarrhea and was wondering if I should go off, but the funny thing is that the juice is the best medicine. I allowed myself the most gentle juices that day with a bit more gentle fruits (watermelon) and the next day I felt like I was kindly led back to health. The hardest thing will be stopping, but my last day is our anniversary, so as bad a thing to do as it is, I am going to go off with our celebratory dinner.
