acid reflux & juicing

Ask the Nutritionist

Posted by IslandGirl on 5 years ago Just wondered if there is anything I should avoid in juicing to help mitigate any acid reflux flare-ups. Things like ginger, dark spices, or anything heavily acidic usually are an issue. Can I replace ginger with something else?

I was going to recommend ginger, but if that is a problem for you then stay away from it. Have you tried aloe vera juice? It is very soothing. You can buy it off the shelf or you can just buy the leaves and scrape off the innards and add it to your juice or smoothie.

I am on day 14 and I have developed terrible acid reflux over the last 5 days or so. I have difficulty breathing and it is really uncomfortable, I really really want to do 30 days but at the moment it is not looking too bright for me. Aloe Vera Juice sounds good.
