Congrats TeelaHerman.com way to go!!

- About: I was sick of being sick and fat! In June of 2012, I weighed the most I've ever weighed: 234 lbs. I never even got that heavy when I was pregnant with TWINS! I was embarrassed to go anywhere, I was severely depressed, I felt lost, and I desperately needed help. I started off with a 40 day fast and I've also completed 2 or 3 smaller 2 week fasts, and a few smaller fasts. I've gone from 234 lbs to under 170 lbs and I feel amazing now! I no longer suffer from psoriasis, I sleep much better at night, my skin looks amazing and I've gone from a size 20 to a comfortable size 12. I also don't have the stomach pain that came with my Crohn's disease. Life is just overall better! And I know I couldn't have achieved all of my dreams, had it not been for the support I got from the Reboot with Joe forums! I have also started coaching others who are looking for support with clean eating and fitness AFTER you finish your juice reboot and I love it!!! There is no better feeling than having a client be successful and to see them reach their goals! TeelaHerman.com
- Why I've Joined Reboot with Joe: I joined the Reboot with Joe forum during my first fast in February of 2013. I truly believe I wouldn't have been as successful with my 40 day fast had I not joined the Reboot with Joe and checked in daily. I gained some wonderful friends and got amazing support from people who had already been where I was. The Reboot with Joe is a godsend!!

this was so inspiring to read, thank you!
I am on day one of my juice fast. I have done other before but can't make it past day 4/5. I really want to do this for health and weightloss, but it's like emotional purgatory, because I've suffered from binge eating and bulima(non purge), I finally have a lot of my eating issues under control, but I still have SUCH an emotional tie to these foods. As much as I hate them, they are like my drug and I want so badly to do this, but it can be very defeating at time. How do you emotionally keep your mind mentally on track, and not reach for snacks that bring temporary happiness?!
Counseling and 'talk therapy' has done wonders for me. I go on and off "as needed".
are you sure to do 20/80 fruit to beg ratio? Also maybe try to drink mostly green juices
I need to restart reboot???? I am having difficulty. Some questions... How much is a serving? I love fruits and veg so thought this would be easy. But I find I am cheating! A small piece of bread, a piece of cheese, a handful of nuts. Not sure if it's out of boredom or hunger. I have an older jack lalanne (sp) juicer which I know doesn't do leaves very well, but will have to do until I can afford a better model. I am struggling.
Try and get rid of all that stuff!!! Or lock it away somewhere so that you are reminded you aren't supposed to be doing that and you stop!
A serving is a huge amount believe it or not. I realized what servings were considered by buying joes book and you can count how many of your glasses make a serving. I don't know off the top of my head but I believe one serving was around 12oz.
Ignore serving size and keep juice with you to keep sipping on all the time. I find that helps with munchies.
Excellent work & it sure is woth it. Am so glad that you have done so well Teela. My hat goes off to you. I am on Day 68 today & going strong just like you :D <3 the hard work is definately worth it!!!
Thanks so much! I really appreciate it! <3
Are you new to juicing?
I have juiced here and there, but nothing ever such as this. I'm on day 3 of 5! Keep up the great work :).
Today is my first day. Other than problems with my juicer, it's going well. Apparently my juicer doesn't do kale, parsley or any other lefty green. ???? a new juicer is not in the cards at this moment so. Keep on juicing!
I heard until Australia Day Jan 26 Myer is haveing a sale on the Brevilel Juicer, think its the Fountain but don't quote me, do a search. It's a $100 off till then :D Hope this helps <3
Inspirational! I'm a first timer here. Just saw Joe's video yesterday and it really hit home with me. Kudos to you!!!!
Inspirational! Well done lovely lady that some commitment...... just what a newbie needs to see at the start of their journey! Thank you x

I'm Teela. I live in Texas and I am a wife and mother to three young sons.
I am a total newbie but I've had my juicer for just over a week and I've really broken her in! She's AMAZING and I'm in LOVE with her! Heehee
I've probably lost 4 lbs in the last week, and I've only replaced about 3 meals total and just added a BUNCH of fresh fruits and vegetables.
I am going to do a 40 day fast starting on Feb 13th and I am PUMPED! I can't WAIT! Less than one week!
I hope to meet a lot of new and amazing friends along my way. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions and I'd love any support anyone would like to offer.

I'm so mad and angry. I need help before I give up.
I did great the first few days of the fast, lost about 9 lbs and then that's it. I've not seen any weight loss since Day 6 or so, in fact, since starting my period, I've GAINED weight.
Someone help!!!! I know I shouldn't be so obsessed with the number on the scale but OMG WHY AM I GAINING WEIGHT!?!?!?!?!? My husband had the audacity to say it was because I'm drinking too much juice!!!!! Great, so I was a fat blimp stuffing my face....and now I'm a fat blimp drinking fresh and expensive juice!?!?!?! Argh. I want to give up, run away and never come back. I need some support, motivation, advice, help, SOMETHING!

I had a nasty inner ear infection that was close to rupturing my eardrum on Day 4. I went to urgent care and stupidly didn't mention my fast. He put me on 500 mg ammoxicillin 2x a day. I'm on Day 8 of the juice fast (day 4 of antibiotics) and my ear is not better, my throat now hurts, and my other ear seems to be bothering me.
I made an appointment with my family care doctor today and plan to tell him about my juice fast but I was curious if anyone else has experienced anything similar? I'm hoping my doctor doesn't recommend I go off the fast. I need help. Ay tips? Advice? Encouraging words? Similar stories? Help a fellow juicer out. Aside from this darn infection, I feel WONDERFUL!

I will be starting a 40 day juicing fast to go along with lent. Is anyone else out there planning the same thing? This will be my first fast so I am going to need lots of support.

This will be my third juice fast. I started and completed a 40 day juice fast in February. Then I did a much smaller 4 day fast recently and now I'm looking to start a guided group reboot for 30 days starting May 1st.
Less than a year ago I weighed 234 lbs. I was miserable, depressed and I hated myself and my life. I wanted weight loss surgery but that was not an option (husband's company doesn't cover any treatment of obesity). I was a few pounds away from being technically morbidly obese.
My husband had me watch the amazing documentary FSAND and something clicked. It all made sense and for once in my life, I felt like there was a way I could possibly get my life back.
I lost some weight on my own with portion control and then by replacing a meal or two here or there with juice and by Feb. 13th when I started my first official 40 day fast, I weighed 193 lbs. at the end of my 40 day fast, I down about 25 lbs. I went from a size 18 to a size 12. I went from an XXL shirt to a large. I am also no longer obese!
I don't have an official goal weight but I have a goal RANGE and I still have a way to go before I get there. I'm hoping to find as many people who want to join me and a few friends. We have a group on Facebook right now (only because this type of forum is very confusing for most people once you get more than a page worth of replies) And this is a blog I wrote that explains what the plan is http://my40dayjuicefast.blogspot.com/2013/04/30-day-may-2013-juice.html
You can also see my before and after photos, my weight log, recipes and much, much more.
I can't wait to meet and get to know some fellow juicers and start this 30 day journey to a better health together!
