Sick'n'Tired

  • About: I am a single mom to 3 grown boys. I worked in the land development/home building/commercial industrial holdings business for the past 16 years. I recently went back to university. I am not 100% on what I want to do yet, but I am pursuing a BA in Global Development through Queens University. It's kind of neat studying with your kids. I just have to get my energy up to accomplish all that has to be done in the next few years.
  • Favorite Juice? A Modified Mean Green
  • Food temptation? potatoe chips, beer & wine (I make my own and love a nice shiraz/cab)

Thanks for the info about the thyroid group coming up. I will have to go check it out and see if I can swing the cost right now. Lots of extra bills going out right now and we just spent extra on this amazing juicer!

Hi Sick'nTired, after my sisters wedding anniversary where i only took a few veggies I broke the fast. I just good not keep on doing it because I was so hungry all the time. I didn't know what to do anymore. So I still have to loose a lot of weight. Can you give me advise?

Thank you for your advise, yes I drink plenty of water. I think my body is taking its time to adjust. Today I am tired because of lack of sleep last night but my stomach feels better. Not feeling so hungry anymore , but it's only 2:30 pm so the day is not over yet lol:) I just your story about day 4, almost the same.

Great to hear Grace! Make sure to take it easy until you start to feel better. You should feel better within the next few days. The fews 4-6 days are the worse sometimes, but you will feel awesome soon. All the best.

Day 28! That's 4 weeks of juice only. I can't believe I made it! I still have about 3 more weeks of just juice and then 2 weeks of transition to a whole foods diet. The scale has went up and down all weekend. I am still holding at 22 lbs. lost but I can feel the fog lifting and getting clearer and clearer everyday.

I went for a chiropractic treatment and a massage and I am still sore. My massage therapist used his elbows... ouch! I am going to do that every week for the next 3 weeks just to support the changes my body is making.

I am wearing pants that I could barely button up. I mean they were so tight around the belly they would hurt if I had to wear them because I didn't get laundry done. I just slipped them on with ease this morning and have lots of room. Feels good not to be spilling over my pants.

I have friends coming over tonight. I'll be serving juice, hummus with carrots, celery, peppers and cucumber... can't wait until I can eat it too.

Hope everyone has a great week.

I'm back. This is my 3rd or 4th attempt at a reboot. I keep quitting just when something good is probably going to happen.

So today is Day 4 and I have to be honest. After last night, I almost quit, but Advil came to the rescue. I am having major detox symtoms this time around. Before it was always this nasty rash, but this time my entire body aches and I was nauseous. I hadn't been that nauseous sense I was expecting and NO it's not possible :) But I am not quitting or cheating this time (like I have always done in the past).

It's Friday and that means it's the weekend. After reading the most recent reboot success story, Robert, my mind went there. I started to say to myself, that's a great idea. It's the weekend, I could always start up again on Monday.... not a good idea. Every time I tried a reboot I have always cheated, but the fact I am not this time around speaks volumes. This time I am gonna make it work.

I am now officially committed! Just registered for the guided 30 day reboot starting in January! Commitment is such a scary word. It's a realization that you have to be responsible. YIKES!

I have been researching some organic produce stores in my area, prices, if they deliver, ect... I will fill you in on what I find out.

Do any of you tweet? I plan on sharing my weight lose experience there, as well as a few other interesting tidbits. I will follow you back if you are from this website. My handle is @TammyFlores

Anyway, I am looking forward to your support because I have about 130 lbs to lose. Did I just type that out loud? DOUBLE YIKES!
