    Good morning Shunned! Congratulations on your amazing weightloss! I hope to lose the same amount as you while drinking juice only until my goal is met. I'm going to be juicing basically the mean green juice minus the celery and ginger root. So it'd just be the kale, cucumbers, apples and lemon. Juicing in the past I loved sticking to just one recipe and the same routine and go about my day. I would drink minimum 4 16 oz juices a day with a b12 vitamin every day and a spoonfull of joes protein powder starting on day 16. I plan on going to get a checkup on day 31. But before I officially start I was wondering if you thought my juice was nutritional enough and if only green juice was good for very long term use. Thank you!!!

    Hi ! Your plan sounds great! curious.. why no ginger or celary?

    my first thoughts are yes sticking with that same thing is great.. however each time you make a new batch.. (i make three days at a time) add something different.. say spinach with your kale.. or some yellow peppers.. or a handful of carrots! Its important to keep the rainbow and it also keeps your body from getting used to the same thing :)

    Hi! Thanks for sharing and becoming a friend! I look at you and say wow, now that must be a great "place". I want to be there. I'm in it for the long haul, I bought the juicer and I have done my first 15 day juice fast. I'm working on a 30 day juice fast now. I have lost 23 lbs and I feel so much better. Thank you for hanging in there and helping the rest of us!

    marion thats freaking awesome news!!! You must be so excited!! I remember what it was like to start watching the weight melt off. it was easy to go the distance seeing results like that each day and each week!! Keep in touch and let me know how your doing! The one thing I could complain about when it comes to these boards is peolple never follow up wiht me and tell me if they are still doing well.. how much they lost.. etc etc and I love knowing its great motivation :)

    Thank you page! your sweet! day four! your almost to that special spot where it all gets a bit easier! keep on going! I love that you will be ending on such a high note on your birthday.. my one regret is that I didnt do this when I turned 30 like I kept promising myself.. thankfully now each birthday is more about where we can go hiking and less about how much garbage I want to eat :) If you ever need some questions answered feel free to look me up!

    Hi Shunned! I am on day 5 of a juice fast. So far so good. Although I think I am not doing the 80 /20 ratio. It is a miracle that I am managing to get them all made and cleaned up and out the door everyday so far. 55 days to go or more. Will see how it goes.

    Happy juicing! you can spend some extra time and make three days at a time if you want!

    work your way to that ratio.. its ok to take your time as long as you get there :)

    Hi Shunned! I'm from Chile, South America.

    Me and my husband will be starting our first reboot next week. Reboot with Joe is not very know here so I feel like I'm alone in this but I follow a healthy nutrition lifestyle already so I pretty much understand what to do :P

    I was checking your post about how many juice to drink per day and really liked your way of explaining things, thanks a lot!

    It is a little bit hard to find kale here so I was wondering if I can change it for spaniards or cucumber, is it ok?

    Also, is there any list of fruits and vegetable allowed during the reboot that I can check out or are they all allowed?

    hi! thank you :) I feel that if you cant find kale.. any leafy green would be a good subsitute.. cucumbers are great I used them in all my juice!

    as for a list of fruit and veggies.. anything is game.. keep that 80% veggie 20% fruit and you will be all set!

    Sadly juicing a Banana wont work :) nor will an avacado hehe

    Hi shunned. Just wondering how your weight is doing. I lost 75 lbs a little over a year ago and gained about half back. I'm correcting that now with a juice only fast and making up my mind to get back on track with healthy eating when I starte eating again. Are you up, down or even from last year?

    HI shoman Im actually doing really well. It will be 3 years in Jan for me and I am at a total of 185 pounds down. I keep it off by being very careful and when I find myself being uncareful lol I get right back into it. this winter was a great one..cold snowy and amazing however made it hard to not nibble. I fixed that with a 60 day juice fast this spring.

    I find keeping an eye on things and not making exceptions and knowing my triggers are key. I am not always perfect its just a matter of avoiding the big no no's :) Great job by the way getting back on track. its not easy! Part of my mind set is I worked my arse off litterally LOL I know how hard it was to do.. no way I want to do it again :)

    I completely understand and empathize where you all might be coming from - I have so been there and done that. The hardest part is just making the decision to commit to your self. It seems that once you make the decision to overcome confusing eating habits and make a change....the quick results and new found energy pumps you up to follow through, prevail and find success.

    After watching my beloved Joe Cross & personal saviour Phil Staples in www.fatsickandnearlydead.com and with further reading of Dr. Fuhrman's "Eat to Live", "The China Study and WHOLE" by T. Colin Campbell and, watching the recommended "Forks Over Knives' documentary, I discovered that eating plant-based wholefoods and drinking green vegetable juices will in fact aid you to overcome highly addictive hyper-palatable foods like animal-derived products, dairy, fats & sugar and to overcome poor eating habits like; the excessive consumption of animal protein products, oil & cholesterol, refined sugar, high sodium and other nutrient deficient junk food, all which led to my obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and my wife's battle with osteo-arthritis and auto-immune diseases.

    Is your reboot over or just starting? Do you feel you failed or that you were successful? When it comes down to it, even a single juice is better than never juicing at all. We all have some form of victory under our belts! Even if this is day 1 for you. You are here. Celebrate! Typically the first 3 to 5 days are the worst. Generally the 8 to 10 day window is glorious as that is when the surge of energy hits. After day 10, the real battle begins. - The mental battle: How long can I really go without chewing? How long can I really do this for? The questions, the doubting (from yourself and others), the curiosity all starts to set in. - This is normal. Totally normal. And you are here. Here with me and everyone else. I did my juice nearly alone. You don't need to be alone. Gain support, motivation, encouragement and inspiration from this group! This group is focused on what happens afterwards or what happens if you just can't stomach a juice but still want nutrition and to be healthy? I look at things a bit differently than most.     This is for people who have finished a reboot or who want to change their eating habits with modified juicing. The Group Picture is of a glass mug of healthy hot garlic soup with sprigs of parsley. I've just finished a 10 day juice reboot and am now eating lots of salads and hot soup. My challenge is night-time grazing. I'm cultivating a better eating habit by: 1. Drinking at least one healthy veggie/fruit juice a day 2. Eating a salad a day 3. Eating more veggies than meat or grain 4. Eating no later than 8:30 p.m. 6 days a week (I work late hours) 4. intermittent fasting one day a week (only veggie juice) 5. Every 6 - 8 weeks I want to do a 3 day juice cleanse This list isn't meant to dictate the same for everyone. How are you "moving your dial" by cultivating your own better eating habits?

    I have juice fasted for 13 days. I thoroughly enjoyed it & would liked to have gone for longer, but there are medical implications. So, here i am, sudden change of track with no idea how to proceed. I had only just got my head around juicing...solids is a whole new universe, challenge & opportunity. Of course i will read this website info, but it would be lovely to have some rebooters onboard to share experiences, successes, pitfalls, meal ideas. Given most things i ate prior to the reboot were crap, i actually have no idea what to put in my mouth...only what not to put into it...sort of... So welcome aboard this free for all...i dont know who to invite because you are all fasting, but those of you i have invited will make marvellous company. I love random inspirational tangential input, so i will upload anything that cheers /makes me think & makes this voyage supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! (The only unwelcome visual input are life affirming joyous funny maxims..i love em too, but not here). I look forward to your contributions.     I thought since the Holidays are coming up as well as the end of the year and I would rather start the year off on a positive note then as a desperate resolution, I will do nothing but juices, smoothie and salad until the end of the year. I know just juices alone would give me faster weight loss but I am trying to focus on health and not just weight alone as well as something that is sustainable for the long haul.
